Abstract

241,644. Vokes, C. G. Aug. 1, 1924. Anti-dazzle screens; look-out reflectors.-An adjustable holder 8 for an anti-dazzle screen for use by vehicle drivers is mounted on an arm 7 hinged at 5 to a clip 1, 2 or similar device adapted to engage a barrel-shaped portion 3 of a windscreen cleaner arranged transversely to the windscreen, the arrangement being particularly intended for use in conjunction with a suction-operated wind-screen cleaner in which a barrel-shaped casing houses the operating pistons. A second hinge disposed at right-angles to the hinge 5 may be added to give a larger range of movement to the arm 7. The anti-dazzle device itself mav be constituted by a piece of tinted glass, celluloid or like material, or by a thinly silvered translucent mirror wlien there are no bright lights in the view of the driver, serves in the ordinary way as a look-out reflector. Adjustment of the holder 8 on the arm 7 is effected by the co-operation of a bolt 10 and wing-nut 11 with a slot 12.
