Abstract

241,559. Cugnon d' Alincourt, P. de. Oct. 17, 1924, [Convention date]. Wind and anti dazzle screens.-In a vehicle wind-screen of the kind comprising upper and lower sections 1 8 between which in wet weather a clear vision gap 7 is obtained by inclining the upper section 1. an auxiliary deflector 5 is arranged behind the section 1 with its lower edge above the line nf the driver's vision so as to divert the current of wind passing through the gap 7 and any rain carried thereby from the section 1 into a trough-shaped space formed by additional members 2, 3, 4, of which the upper member 3 may be either open or closed according to the type of vehicle in use. A pivoted glass pane 1X may be located in an horixontat position above the section 1 to protect the latter from rain. Two deflectors 5, one of which is semi-opaque, may be adjustably arranged behind the screen, so that, when desired. the driver's eyes may be protected from the of the sun or approaching headlights, The elements 4, 5 may be plane or concave and either formed integraly or jointed together.
