Abstract
A sand filled container in which the feet are placed to soften the skin. Preferably the container has a vibrating mechanism built into the base, and it may also have a pump system to circulate the sand. The sand may be coloured or scented.
Description
1 241 5383 Exfoliating foot-care unit This invention removes rough or hard
skin from feet with little effort and with regular use maintains soft feet.
This invention is based around a sand-filled container in which the feet are placed.
The sand comes to a level high enough to cover the feet.
A vibrating mechanism in the base of the container aids the movement of sand around the feet to advance the exfoliation process.
A pump system draws sand from the container and back through a spout over the feet to enhance the circulation of sand.
The use of the exfoliation foot-care unit will enable almost effortless removal of roughness and hard skin from feet whilst providing the soothing benefits of a walk on the beach.
Preferably, the vibrating mechanism and pump system will be powered by electricity.
Preferably, both the vibrating mechanism and the pump system can be operated by simple switches on one side of the container. This will give the opportunity to use them individually or simultaneously.
Preferably, the sand will be delicately coloured and scented to add to the feeling of luxury.
Preferably, the rear of the container will be angled so as to provide maximum comfort when inserting feet from a seated position.
Figure 1 shows the preferable shape of the container and demonstrates the possible position of the vibrating mechanism.
Figure 2 shows the preferable position of the pump system.
The container is moulded from plastic.
A gentle vibrating mechanism is fitted within the base of the container.
A pump system will operate on each side of the container.
The pump will draw sand in through small openings within the container and up through a spout.
The pump openings will be positioned on the inside of the container close to the base.
The spouts will be above the sand level in a position to pour sand back into the container.
One opening and spout will be included on each side of the container.
One side of the container will include two power switches, one to operate the vibrating mechanism and one to operate the pumps.
