Abstract
A soap hanger has a base (21) provided with a first side adapted to securely engage with a surface and a second side opposite to the first side and having an arm (22) extending out therefrom. A bar of soap (10) for use with the soap hanger is solid and has a centrally defined through hole (11) to allow an extension of the arm (22) such that the soap is supported by the arm (22).
Description

SOAP HANGER IN COMBINATION WITH A RING-SHAPED SOAP
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a soap hanger and a ring-shaped soap, and more particularly to an arcuate soap hanger and a ring-shaped soap with a centrally defined hole such that the soap is able to hung on the hanger after use and the water left on the outer surface of the soap dries easily.
2. Description of Related Art
Normally a soap casing (30), as shown in Figs. 3 and 4, has a receiving space (31) defined inside the casing (30) to receive therein a bar of soap (32). Multiple slits (33) are defined in a bottom face defining the receiving space (31) such that after the soap (32) is used, the water on the outer surface of the soap (32) easily escapes from the slits (33) to keep the soap (32) dry. However, after the soap (32) is used for a period of time, the slits (33) will be blocked by the sticky liquified soap coming out of the soap (32) resulting from the water seeping into the soap (32). Under such a situation, the soap (32) is easily softened and is unpleasant to use. Thus, the soap has to be removed and dried elsewhere which is troublesome and another bar of soap has to replace the original soap.
To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide an improved soap hanger and a ring-shaped soap to mitigate the aforementioned problems.
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an improved soap hanger and a ring-shaped bar of soap which is able to be hung on the soap hanger such that water on the outer surface of the soap dries easily.
Other objects, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
In the drawings: Fig. I is an exploded perspective view showing the soap hanger and the soap; Fig. 2 is a schematic perspective view showing the application of the soap hanger; Fig. 3 is an exploded perspective view showing a conventional soap casing and a conventional bar of soap; and Fig. 4 is a perspective view showing the application of the conventional soap casing.
With reference to Fig. 1, it is noted that a bar of soap (10) in accordance with the present invention is solid and has a centrally defined through hole (11) defined through the soap (10).
The soap hanger (20) of the present invention includes a base (21) constructed to have a first side adapted to securely engage with a surface, i.e. a wall, and an arm (22) extending out from a second side opposite to the first side of the base (21) and having a resting area (23) formed on a portion of the arm (22) to support the soap (10). Preferably, the arm (21) is arcuate.
With reference to Fig. 2, it is noted that when the soap hanger (20) of the present invention is combined with the soap ( 10), a free end of the and (21) extends through the through hole (11) to have the soap (10) rested on the resting area (23). Thus the soap surface dries quickly as water on the surface drains away easily and there is no contact area between the soap and the point where the water accumulates before draining off.
Therefore, the user is able to use the soap (10) without worrying that the soap (10) may be softened due to water seeping into the soap (10) and become useless.
It is to be understood, however, that even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
Claims (2)
- CLAIMS: 1. A soap hanger in combination with a bar of soap, wherein thesoap hanger comprises: a base (21) having a first side adapted to securely engage with a surface and a second side opposite to the first side and having an arm (22) extending out therefrom, wherein the bar of soap is solid and has a centrally defined through hole (11) to allow an extension of the arm (22) such that the soap is supported by the arm (22) .
- 2. The soap hanger in combination with the soap as claimed in claim 1, wherein the arm (22) has a resting area (23) formed on a portion of the arm (22) to support the bar of soap.
