Description
CIGARETTE
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates generally to cigarettes, and more particularly to a self-extinguishable cigarette.
2. Description of the Related Art
It is generally understood that the common smoker extinguishes the ash fire of a cigarette directly in the ashtray while smoking indoors; however, it is difficult to find the ashtray or ashcan outdoors, such that the smoker may directly desert the ash fire of the cigarette on the ground, or the smoker may extinguish the ash fire incompletely and then directly desert it into the trashcan so as to cause a fire. Some smokers may also directly throw the ash fire of the cigarette out of the car after the cigarette is smoked, such that sometimes the news press reports that the dry objects placed beside the roads are accidentally burned to cause a catastrophe due to the smokers' carelessness of randomly deserting the ash fire of the cigarettes.
SU10IARY OF THE INVENTION The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a cigarette, which is self-extinguishable.
The foregoing objective of the present invention is attained by the cigarette, which is comprised of a tobacco portion having an adequate amount of tobacco and a cigarette paper enrolling the tobacco, a filter portion having an adequate amount of filter and a wrapping paper enrolling the filter, the filter portion being connected with the tobacco portion end by end, and a fire-extinguishing unit embedded into the filter portion and having a fire-extinguishing liquid, which is ejectable to extinguish the ash fire of the cigarette while the tobacco portion is squeezed by an external force.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
FIG I is a perspective view of a first preferred embodiment of the present invention FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention at work; and FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of a second preferred embodiment of the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a cigarette 100 constructed according to a first preferred embodiment of the present invention is comprised of a tobacco portion 1O, a filter portion 20, and a fire-extinguishing unit 30.
The tobacco portion 10 is formed of an adequate amount of tobacco 11 and a cigarette paper 12 enrolling the tobacco 11, thereby being cylindrical.
The filter portion 20 is formed of an adequate amount of filter 21, which can be embodied as sponges or other materials capable of filtering fumes, and a wrapping paper 22 for enrolling the filter 21, thereby being cylindrical. The enrolled wrapping paper 22 has an end connected with an end of the enrolled cigarette paper 12 of the tobacco portion 10. The filter 21 is provided inside with a receiving chamber 23 axially extending inwards from a free end thereof.
The fire-extinguishing unit 30 is embedded into the receiving chamber 23 of the filter portion 20, having a capsule 31 and a fire-extinguishing liquid 32, for spouting an adequate amount of the liquid 32 towards the tobacco portion 10 to extinguish the ash fire of the tobacco portion 10. The capsule 31 is provided with a closed room for containing the liquid 32, which can be water or other eatable liquid harmless to human, and a spout-out portion 33 formed at an end thereof and abutting and facing the tobacco portion 10. The spout-out portion 33 is more fragile than other parts of the capsule 31 to be easily breakable under a predetermined pressure. The liquid 32 is electable by an external force to spout from the spout-out portion 33 towards the tobacco portion 10 to extinguish the ash fire of the tobacco portion 10.
The cigarette 100 of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention can be operated according to the following recitation. When the user ignites the tobacco portion 10 to smoke it for a length and then intends not to smoke anymore, as shown in FIG. 3, the user can directly squeeze the filter portion 20 by fingers to pressurize the fireextinguishing unit 30. In the meantime, the liquid 32 inside the capsule 31 is under an increasing pressure to break through the fragile spout-out portion 33 and to spout on the tobacco portion 10 to directly extinguish the ash fire. Otherwise, the liquid 32 can be absorbed into the unfired part of the tobacco 11 or the cigarette paper 12 to extinguish the ash fire.
Accordingly, the user can desert the cigarette 100, which ash fire of the tobacco portion] 0 has been extinguished by the fire-extinguishing liquid 32, into the ashtray or trashcan, thereby preventing the disaster incurred by incomplete extinguishment of the ash fire In addition, although the cigarette paper 12 and the wrapping paper 22 are respectively independent in the first preferred embodiment, the cigarette paper 12 and the wrapping paper 22 can be alternatively formed in one- piece Further, the fire-extinguishing liquid 32 of the fire-extinguishing unit 30 can be alternatively colored, e.g the liquid 32 can be added with eatable pigment that is harmless to human, such that not only when the capsule 31 is squeezed to spout the colored liquid 32, the spouting range of the liquid 32 is apparently visible, but also when the capsule 31is accidentally broken, the liquid 32 can be apparently seen by the user for attention.
Referring to FIG 4, the cigarette 200 constructed according to a second preferred embodiment of the present invention is similar to the aforementioned preferred embodiment, having difference as follows. The fire-extinguishing unit 60 is located inside the filter portion 50, i.e. the fire-extinguishing unit 60 is put into the filter portion 50 before the filter portion 50 is formed, and is invisible from the appearance of the cigarette 200 to aesthetically enhance the appearance of the cigarette 200.
