Abstract
A DigiReader unit allows users to purchase and read digital-format books and newspapers (or any other reading material) from their local newsagents and high-street stores. This can be done by having rewritable accessories (e.g. cartridges, SIMs, or discs) that will be compatible with the DigiReader; a user may go to local shops and download the latest newspaper onto such rewritable accessories using a special online unit. The DigiReader may also comprise: a screen, buttons, volume control, built-in speaker, ear phone jack, slots to add extra hardware such as a keyboard (e.g. a USB port), a port to use or recharge the unit with a mains adaptor, a light placed at the front of the unit's screen, or a bookmarks function. The advantage of the DigiReader will be that the user will have a copy of their chosen reading material at hand on a mini object which can be viewed at any time.

DigiReader- DigiReader is an item\unit that can be used to read Books and newspapers in a digital format. This unit\item will be a compact hand held item\unit, Size of this unit\item is explained in appendix 2(supplied smith this application) with a basic layout of the unit with its specifications. The features on this item\unit are basic On\Off, Fwd, Back, Search, Light On\Off, Store\l,oad, Erase, Scrol] Up\Down, Zoom In\Out, Volume Control, Built in Speaker and Ear Phone Jack.
There will be a IJSB port at the bottom of the Item\Unit to connect accessories in future release and a port at the top of unit to use\recharge the unit with mains adapter.
There will be an internal Memory to keep bookmarks of the newspaper and any chosen books.
The Unit\Item will be like a real time book where the user can read books and newspaper and keep bookmarks and then return to this bookmark at a later stage except that it will be in a digital format.
The Unit\ltem will have a light button, this light will not be a back light but in fact will be placed at the front of the unit's internal screen giving the user more clearer viewable picture and text. A light button can be useful for users of this product as the user can use this unit in day light with the light off and at night time with the light on.
The digital media for this unit will be available on small cartridges\sims\discs (final draft still in production) and the user can purchase a re-writable cartridge\sims\disc and take it to their newsagent and download a newspaper onto this object through a device. Whereas the user can also have an advantage of purchasing novels and books from larger stores and high street markets, giving the user a wider range of choice to use with this product.
Speaker will also be important for this unit as the manufacturers can record voice\music data to play along with any of their books or novels. Ghan:

1. A compact unit that will have a compact screen and will be used to read any reading material such as books and magazines, it sail! have many features that will help the reading material to read easily.
2. A Compact unit as claimed in Claim I with buttons on the unit with each button having its own feature and method
3. A Compact unit as claimed in Claim 2 with slots to add extra Hardware
