Abstract

A kettle for boiling liquids that heats the liquid using an integrated microwave generator D located within the kettle that is powered by batteries. Preferably the microwave generator D is located in the lid E of the kettle, and heats liquid in a chamber beneath the lid. A battery pack to power the generator may be placed beneath the water chamber; the pack may be detachable and rechargeable via a charging point on the kettle A or replaceable. The kettle preferably has a thermostatically controlled switch H to turn the kettle on and off and the body of the kettle may be vacuum sealed C.

The invention relates to a portable kettle for boiling water or other liquids.

Outdoors and indoors at anytime Kettles are of many types and are well known of But all use very Inefficient methods to heat water gas and electricity being common methods The invention approaches the function in a different manner Usmg microwave energy that Is directly absorbed by the water bolmg can be achieved for much less energy Energy being transferred at sub-atomc levels leads to a much more efficient process The invention Is a self-contaned unit that can be largely made out of plastic A small microwave generator Is required to produce the energy that Is going to be added to the water The design of the hd incorporates the microwave generator Below this lid Is a chamber to hold the water or hand to be heated A chamber that holds about two lutes of hqud Underneath the water chamber Is a battery pack that Is connected to the microwave generator Wiring along the body of the kettle will easily make the connection required from the batteries to the microwave generator A switch In the wiring will allow the system to be turned on and off A thermostat In the switch will make the shut down automatic The battery pack is detachable and rechargeable or replaceable therefore reusable The kettle can be used outdoors as well as Indoor In any weather conditions any time that hot water Is needed
