Abstract

An air conditioning device comprises a housing containing a filter through which air is drawn and is passed over a heating and/or cooling coil by a fan. The housing may contain an internal base plate which may be rotated to allow treated air to be discharged at ninety degree segments and may have multiple facades attached which may have a plain or textured finish, may have a plasma or monitor display or a luminary enclosure. The device may be mounted on a ceiling or wall and may use a refrigerant/gas arrangement or treated water as a heating and/or cooling medium.

DESCRIPTION
COMFORT COOLING ROOM UNIT
This invention relates to an innovative enhancement and application for a standard thermal transfer room conditioner unit.
The invention comprises a rearrangement and combination of conventional constructions which permits the unit and housing to accommodate a basic unit comprising a fan, cooling and, or heating coil and filter.
The unit's housing may be constructed such that it may allow multiple facades to be attached and, if appropriate, the internal base plate to be rotated to allow discharge of treated air in selected 90deg. segments.
This would be achieved by the central positioning of the fluids' piping and, where applicable, the electricaVelectronic connections and cabling to appropriate data display, facades or control devices.
The device may be wall or ceiling sited allowing the attachment of a range of facades including, but not limited to, plasma or monitor display, a luminary enclosure and a plain or textured outer casing finish.
There may be many variations in the construction ofthe device and materials may range from natural to man made.
While typically utilising a piped refrigerant fluid/ gas arrangement the option may be extended to include treated water as a medium.

Claims (2)

1. A device comprising a filter, thermal coil, and fan mounted on a base plate.
2. A device as claimed in 1, 2 and 3 such that the device may be wall or ceiling mounted.
2. A device as claimed in 1 such that the device may discharge treated air in selected 90 deg. segments by suitably rotating the base plate.
3. A device as claimed in 1 and 2 such that the device enclosure may accommodate the mounting of a facade which may be plain, textured, luminary or a plasma or monitor display.
4. A device as claimed in 1, 2 and 3 such that the device may be wall or ceiling mounted.
Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows
1. A device comprising a filter, thermal coil, and fan mounted on a rotating base plate such that the device enclosure may accommodate the mounting of an optional facade which may be plain, textured, luminary or plasma or monitor display.
