Abstract

A loft door system comprises a prefabricated frame of uPVC or wood and a door panel mounted and hinged thereto. The frame has a pre fitted architrave and door stop with draft excluding strip. The door is a uPVC faced polystyrene panel. The door may be held in its closed position within the frame by a hook and loop touch fastening.

Prefabricated loR door system Prefabricated loft door system which is fabricated from upvc or wood frame with pre fitted architrave and door stop with draft excluding strip and a insulated upvc pre hinged & hung door.
The door is fabricated from upvc faced polystyrene panel of various thickness.The doors light weight construction makes it safe to open no matter how large or small the door is, due to its low weight it s possible to use a Velcro closing system rather than a mechanical system but can also use any type of mechanical closing / locking system.
The frame is constructed from wood/upvc. Fully prefabricated liner with architrave which can be manufactured in various sizes to suit joist centres.
Fixing system the minimum fixing required is six screws / bolts side fixed through into joists if noggins are required between joists additional fixings maybe needed, fixings are not visible from the outside of the door system. of_
