Abstract

A leisure craft comprises a main hull 1 and a central section 2 pivotally supported by the main hull and adapted to be rocked backwards and forwards by a user of the craft. A fin 5 is attached to the central section and this provides a thrust to the craft as the central section is rocked backwards and forwards. The fin may be attached to the stern end of the central section. The craft may be made from plastic or fibre glass in a mould, with the pivots 4 formed in metal or a similar hardwearing material.

Description

241 1864
LEISURE CRAFT
This invention relates to a twin hull craft joined bow and stern, with a centre angled pivoted section, movable fin attached at stern end.
Most leisure craft are propelled by oar, paddle, propeller with cycle or arm motion. This craft is propelled using legs in rocker motion moving a fin while sitting on a control frame.
The object of the invention is to propel a craft forward through the action of the angled pivoted centre section, with a fin attached to stern of rocker.
The essential feature of the craft is the centre angled rocker section, with fin at stern end allowing propelling motion through leg movement, other features of the craft are removable seating frame with controls for steering.
Preferably the craft be made of plastic or fibre glass in a mould with essential pivots in metal or hard wearing materials.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which Figure 1 shows the top view of craft with centre rocker section and seating frame Figure 2 craft side view with rocker section and fin plus seating frame Figure 3 head-on view, seating frame, centre rocker section with fin. z
As shown in figure 1 the craft 1 comprises a twin hull joined bow and stern.
Having centre angled pivot section 2 seating frame 3 bearings 4.
The pivot section 2 having a hardwearing bearing 4 allowing rocker motion.
Figure 2 shows side view of twin hull 1 centre angled pivot section 2 seating frame 3 hard wearing bearings 4 movable fin 5.
The action of fin movement held by springs, elastic, or piston action, through the angled rocker section propels the craft forward.
Figure 3 shows head on view of twin hull centre angled pivot section 2 seating frame 3 hard wearing bearings 4 fin 5
