CHANGING MAT
The invention relates to a lightweight foldable changing mat of the type which includes a combination of layers of materials which can be placed upon a changing room floor and stood upon whilst changing clothes before or after taking exercise in such areas as sports centres, gymnasiums, health and fitness clubs, swimming pools or any other environment where a change of clothing is required.
Changing room floors, where people are changing before or after taking part in sporting activities, are often wet or dirty. Parents will occasionally stand their children on changing room benches or put their towels on the floor to stand on to try and keep their feet and clothes dry and clean. The invention solves the problem of having to stared directly upon wet or dirty changing room floors. The mat prevents both feet and clothes from getting wet or dirty therefore offering a level of comfort, safety and hygiene.
The object of this invention is to provide a comfortable, dry, non-slip device upon which one can stand whilst changing clothes before or after any type of sport or exercise. The invention allows people when changing to avoid direct contact with a wet, dirty or unhygienic floor surface.
Accordingly one of the essential features of the invention is its unique combination of materials, which are lightweight and allow the mat to be folded. The top layer is made of an absorbent material; it has an inner layer of padding, which provides comfort, and a bottom layer, which is made of a non-slip, water resistant material.
The mat is light in weight and able to be folded. It is designed to withstand machine washing providing the user with a product that can be kept clean.
