Abstract
A surgical cauterising device includes an insulating cylinder 3 through which pass connections 6 providing alternating electrical current to the filament 2 situated within the metal tip 1. The filament may be wound around a core of heat resistant material. Manoeuvring of the cauterising tip may be achieved using four opposing guide wires running though the insulating cylinder.

Cauterisation Tube Description
The Cauterisation Tube could be directed through a vein or artery or a slit in the body for the purpose of cauterization surgery such as cauterising a cancerous growth.
Fig 1 is a three dimensional view of the Cauterisation Tube.
Fig 1.1 is a bulb of metal in which the filament Fig 1.2 goes. Fig 1.3 is an insulative cylinder which contains the connections for the device to the power supply cable. Fig 1.5 is where the cables wires from the power supply connect to the filament. Fig 1.4 is the tube which is of flexible plastic. Fig 1.6 are the wires from the power supply. Fig 1.7 are the wire ends which attach the device to the power supply. The power supply is of alternating current so that the filament is heated. The wires of the device linking the filament to the power supply may connect to the power supply via a plug. The filament which is thus contained supplies sufficient heat to cauterize when power is flowing through it. The filament may be of tungsten and may be wound around a cylinder of heat resistant material such as asbestos which may go along with the filament end inside the bulb end of the device and may glow along with the wire to provide for variable sizes of cauterising ends to the device. The power supply wires of the device may also be of tungsten, but of a thicker guage so that they do not generate heat and these power supply wires may have an insulative coating of plastic so that the device does not short circuit. The cauterising end of the tube could be manouevered into position inside the patients body to cauterize by way of four wires which run down the inside of the tube from the cauterizing end to the open end of the tube and out so that movement left or right, up or downttwo wires are placed one at each end of a diameter of the tube horizontally and two wires are placed one at each end of a diameter of the tube vertically attachment is at the end of the tube that has got the cauterizing bulb and the horizontal attachment diameter is at 90 degrees to the vertical attachment diameter) can be engendered of the tubes ranterising end by pulling on the wires until the desired position is attained.
Claims (2)
- Cauterisation Tube Claims 1. The Cauterisation Tube consists of tube withat one end inside it a cylinder of Insulative material and inside it a bulb of metal containing a filament, the insulative cylinder shields the heating bulb filament from the tube, there are connection points at one end of the insulative cylinder to which the power supply wires are connected, the power supply wires of the device are contained in the tube, the power supply wires of the device connect the filament end of the device to the power supply which is mains act
- 2. The Cauterisation Tube is substantially as described herein with reference to the accompanying description and drawings.
