Abstract

A toothbrush with a reservoir of cleaning gel is made up of a moulded stem 6 attached to a bristle head 5. A manual switch slide 1 slides along a slide groove 2 forcing toothpaste through to holes 3 at the base of the bristles. The slide groove may have encatchment means for arresting the movement of the slide device.

Description

Gel Filled Disposable Toothbrush [Technical Fieldl: This invention relates
to Gel Filled Disposable Toothbrush.
[Background]: Toothbrushes and toothpaste are well known items used in dental healthcare. There are many different types in each category, which lend themselves to form the basis of dental healthcare.
Essential Technical Featuresl: According to the present invention there is provided a gel filled disposable toothbrush. A body in the form of the stem, a rounded head with integral bristles, means for releasing gel into bristles, the body being adapted to accommodate a fixed head. There will be a manual switch slide on the stem to release gel from inner stem to fixed head bristles.
[Example!: A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: [Figure 11: Shows in perspective the stem with the fixed head in position and manual stem mounted switch slide.
Referring to the drawing, the gel filled disposable toothbrush comprises of a moulded stem (6), integral gel paste (4), fixed head bristles (5), gel release holes (3), manual switch slide groove (2) and manual switch slide (1).
In order to use the gel filled disposable toothbrush you would place the moulded stem (6) n the palm of your hand. Your thumb would be placed on the manual switch slide (1), sliding upwards through switch slide groove (2) releasing gel paste (4) through gel release holes (3) onto fixed head bristles (5).

Claims (8)

  1. Claims 1) A gel filled disposable toothbrush has a body in the form of a
    stem. A rounded head means for releasing gel into bristles, the body being adapted to accommodate a fixed head. There will be a manual switch slide on the stem to release gel from inner stem to the fixed head bristles.
  2. 2) A gel filled toothbrush as claimed in claim 1 where in guide means are provided on the stem co-operable with the switch slide to control the sliding movement of the switch slide on the stem.
  3. 3) A gel filled toothbrush as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 where in the guide means is provided on the stem remote from the fixed head bristles.
  4. 4) A gel filled toothbrush as claimed in claim 2 or claim 3 where in encatchment means is provided on the stem, for arresting the sliding movement of the stem.
  5. 5) A gel filled disposable toothbrush as claimed in claim 4 where the encatchment means is adapted to co- operate with the guide means n order to arrest the sliding movement of the stem.
  6. 6) A gel filled disposable toothbrush as claimed in any of the proceeding claims where in the stem is provided with at least one switch slide.
  7. 7) A gel filled disposable toothbrush as claimed in claim 6, where in the stem is provided with fixed head bristles.
  8. 8) A gel filled disposable toothbrush substantially as described herein with reference to figures 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawings.
