Abstract
A breast support made up of two independent half cups that support the breasts of a wearer by tucking in under the breasts, without the aid of shoulder or back straps. Preferably the half cups are pre shaped with a built in stiffener (area A, Fig 3). The combination of breast weight and shape of the half cups ensures the half cups stay in place. To ensure the half cups stay in place under most conditions a double sided tape is affixed to inside of the lower part of the half cups. The half cups may be made in a set of right hand and left hand half cups or moulded to fit both. The half cups are preferably made of a flexible plastic, rubber, synthetic or natural material.

BREAST SUPPORTING HALF-CUPS
This invention relates to a brassiere (bra) which supports women's breasts, a gamment which is wom by most women around the world today.
Such garments usually have back and shoulder straps but suffer from the disadvantage that it is sometimes impossible to wear them with the fashionable and revealing clothes as dictated by today's media and celebrities. Some women even resort to taping up their breast to overcome and disguise drooping breasts.
The object of this invention is to provide a breast support that consists of two independent parts which support the breasts without the aid of shoulder or back straps and when wom is virtually inconspicuous Accordingly, this invention consists oftwo independent half-cups which tuck in under each breast and supports me breast, thus allowing women to wear revealing clothes with confidence.
The half-cups would most suitably be made of plastic or rubber type material and could include synthetic or natural cloth. It could possibly include a metal support. Or the half- cups could be made from a combination of all of these materials.
A preferred embodiment ofthe invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows the breasts before fitting the half-cups Figure 2 shows the two half-cups fitted to the breasts and in position.
Figure 3 shows one of the half-cups on its own.
Figure 4 shows a view of one half-cup on its own when looking in the direction of the arrow B in figure 3.
Referring to the drawings: Figure 1 shows the breasts without the aid of the half-cups.
Figure 2 shows the two half-cups fitted to the underside of the breasts. This invention is designed to tuck in under each of the breast to lift and support the breast so that they appear full and natural without any assisted support.
Figure 3 shows a view of one of the half-cups. The half-cups would be shaped to best support and lift the breast. It should be noted that the half-cups will be manufactured in a range of sizes in accordance with the brassiere standards to accommodate different breast sizes.
The pair of half-cups could be manufactured to fit either breast. ie: common to Left and Right Hand breast or could be moulded in a set of Right Hand and LeR Hand half-cups.
The half-cups would for best results be of a flexible plastic or ruWer base material or cloth, synthetic or natural, and would have a stiffener built into the half-cups to dictate and ensure the shape of the half-cups. The stiffener would be in the area A of figure 3.
An important feature of this invention is that when the half-cups are tucked in, and in place under the breasts, the combination of Me breast weight (pressure) and the very specific shape ensures that the half-cups stays in place. As a backup and to ensure adhesion under most conditions, double sided tape is used to aid the natural adhesion.
Figure 4 shows a view of one of the half-cups as seen when looking in the direction of the arrow B in figure 3. The double sided backup tape is applied to Me shaded area as seen in Figure 4.
