Abstract

An Automotive Headrest Cover, designed to fit over existing manufactures headrests, includes designs to ensure that the cover sits neatly around the existing headrest, by means of elasticated bands fitted to each side. Fixing is by means of Velcro (RTM) type material stitched at each end of the cover, being then joined together at the underneath area of the manufactures headrest, between the existing manufactures headrest support bars. The Headrest cover is manufactured from a material that is suitable for printing designs text or logo's onto its surface.

meets the requirement of a patent due to its Unique and Technical innovative features as listed below.
The sides of the headrest have stitched into it, an elastic material, this added feature ensures that the headrest cover when fitted to a headrest fits tight and smooth to any design of conventional automotive headrest up to 22 inches in length.
The Stitched elastic ensures that once the cover is fitted to a automotive headrest, it is kept secure in its desired position, and will not under normal travel and movement in a car, cause any discomfort or any unforeseen reasons to distract the driver or passenger. (RTM) The 2 inches of VelcropType material also aids in the safety features, to stop any untoward movement that may distract a driver or passenger in a vehicle.
The design of the headrest Cover incorporates a unique Technical design and pattern, in as much that each of the 4 corners are cut out of the shape at a PRECISE angle.
The Technical effect of the unique 4 corners being cut at the angle ENSURES that the Cover WILL FIT almost ALL Automotive Headrests All Automotive Manufactures cars are fitted as standard with some form of Headrest - What differs from manufacture to manufacture and ALSO from manufactures Model to Model is the SUPPORT BARS that carry the traditional Headrest. All Support bars are of DIFFERENT widths.
The Headrest Cover we put forward to you HC/01, is designed to overcome any size of spacing in between Standard Headrest Support bars.
Without the Technical and Unique cut away angles on HC/01 the headrest Cover would not fit many of the headrests fitted by Manufactures due to the spacing of the support bars.
Headrest Cover For Automobiles The headrest cover is manufactured from a PVC / Leather type effect material.
The design shape is basically a rectangle; The Technical aspects incorporate the 4 comers cut off at a degree formed from measuring a preset amount of 2 inches in from each corner. This Technical aspect is designed to overcome different manufactures spacing of traditional headrest support bars.
The edges of the material are with the exception of the 2 ends, fitted with elastic, which is held in position by folding over approx.5 inch of material this then being stitched. And) Both ends of the design have fastened to them (Velcro type material, this self adhesive material (Male and Female configurations) (Velcro) hold both ends of the design together.
The headrest cover specification is enclosed for perusal.
The headrest cover is fitted around an existing automotive headrest in between the original Headrest support bars. (em) The Headrest Cover is held in position by use of the (Velcro material.
The New headrest cover sits in the centre of the existing headrest on the vehicle.
The Headrest cover has been designed to have Logo's and Text and any other identification marks, silk screen printed onto its surface.
Packaging has been designed to carry one pair (2 pieces) of headrest covers.

Claims (5)

  1. Headrest Cover HC/01 Claims 1. An Automotive Headrest Cover, designed to
    fit over existing manufactures automotive headrests.
  2. 2. An Automotive Headrest Cover according to claim 1, in which is incorporated elasticated sides, to provide a neat and tight fit to the existing automotive manufactures headrest.
  3. 3. An Automotive Headrest Cover according to claim 1, in which the universal fitting means is provided by the 4 cut away corners to ensure the fitting ends will pass between existing manufactures automotive headrest support fixing bars.
  4. 4. An Automotive Headrest Cover according Reclaim 1, in which is incorporated fitting of the headrest cover by means of VelcropyJpe fixing material at each end in order to attach the 2 ends together on the underside of the existing manufactures automotive headrest between the 2 headrest support bars.
  5. 5. An Automotive Headrest Cover according to claim 1, manufactured from material enabling printed information to be adhered to the surface of the material.
    6 An Automotive Headrest Cover according to claim 1. That can be easily fitted and removed from an existing manufactures automotive headrest.
    Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows 1 A cover for an automotive headrest, the cover being intended to fit around the central region of an automotive headrest between the headrest support bars, the cover comprising a rectangular strip of material, the corners of the rectangular strip being cut away at an angle to give narrower ends, there being cooperating hook and loop material on opposite faces of the strip at the narrower ends thereof, the longer sides of the rectangular strip being elasticated.
