Abstract

A vacuum powered mouse eliminator comprises a motor 3 producing a vacuum, causing air to be drawn into the device through an attached tube 1 with an open outlet 2. At the motor end of this tube is a permeable deflector panel 4 set an angle of 45{ to the air flow. In use the device is used to suck up quantities of mice which are deposited in a collection sack 6 held in place by a zip or other type of fastening 7. The collecting sack may be closed off from the device by an impermeable shutter, closure of which releases lethal gas into the sack. The sack and its contents may then be buried or burned.

Description

Vacuum Driven Mouse Eliminator.
This invention relates to a vacuum driven mouse eliminator particularly defined as a mechanism which operates to suction up quantities of mice in situations described as a mice plague.
Mouse eliminators either act singularly or by means of chemicals or bigorganisms, which may then constitute a hazard to other wildlife.
The present invention is intended to remove quantities of mice from the environment and without threatening other wildlife or their habitats. In this way * saves time and effort. It also ensures that the mice are not under undue stress before being eliminated.
According to the present invention, there is provided a vacuum suction device comprising an electric or petrol motor creating a vacuum suction force and whose single outlet is constituted of an impermeable tube 20cms wide and 60cms long, this leading to a diversion from the vacuum suction point, defined by a deflector panel, causing the mice to tumble into a disposable sack said sack being detachable from the mechanism and containing a canister of lethal gas, which may be released once the entrance to the sack is closed. Said sack and its contents being then deeply buried or burnt.
The design is intended to be operated in domestic and farm buildings and wherever there is a quantity of unwanted mice collected in one place. 2.
According to the present invention, there is a suction device operating to an outlet constituted of an impermeable canvas or rubber equivalent tube about 20cms wide and 60cms long, at which interior end is a rotund permeable deflector panel, at an angle of 45 degrees to the suction force, and whose external end is open, the said tube communicating with a collector sack vertically placed, the entrance to which is rotund, beneath which it becomes rectangular, at which dimension is a metal fluting, one side of which is constituted of a fitting impermeable shutter plate, and whose closure is effected by said shutter, operated when the sack is full, the contact of closure releasing a lethal gas from a canister placed just beneath said fluting, the sack being itself attached and extricated at its rotund end from the tube by means of a zip or similar mechanism.
The tube being directed at quantities of mice results in their being sucked into it and then falling into the collector sack whenever the vacuum suction device momentarily stops, this being facilitated by the deflector panel and the vertically placed opening of said sack..
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1. shows a side view of the invention.
Figure 2. shows the shutter mechanism and the gas canister release mechanism.
Figure 3. shows the collector sack's release mechanism.
Referring to the drawings, the vacuum driven mouse eliminator is constituted of a impermeable canvas or rubber equivalent tube 1, the outlet of which is open 2, attached at the internal end to a vacuum suction motor 3, before such attachment there being a deflector panel 4, at an angle of 45 degrees to said tube and which is positioned directly above a rotund gap in the tube 5, that gap being the connection to a collector sack 6, held in place by a zip or similar device 7, and of which, just below *s entrance, is a rectangular metal fluting 8, one side of which is available to a rectangular shutter 9, the closure of which releases lethal gas from canister, placed just beneath the fluting at 10.

Claims (1)

  1. Claims.
A vacuum suction mouse eliminator comprising a permeable deflector panel, set at 45 degrees to the suction flow, and directly above a gap connecting suction tube at a rotund entrance to an impermeable collector sack, beneath which opening metal fluting defines a rectangular fitting, one side of which communicates win an impermeable shutter, which, when the sack is full, closes said sack and releases lethal gas from a canister placed just below the metal fluting rim, the sack being attached and detached from the tube at its rotund entrance by a zip or similar mechanism.
