Abstract

A hands-free communication device e.g. a mobile phone, for a vehicle, includes one or more batteries 14 disposed in a housing 10, a circuit board 30 disposed in the housing, a blue-tooth (RTM) device 31 disposed on the circuit board, and an antenna 20 coupled to the blue-tooth (RTM) device 31, for sending and receiving calls wirelessly to and from a mobile phone. The circuit board includes two couplers 32 for coupling to electric power source and to ear pieces, a knob 34 for adjusting volume of sound, and two buttons 35, 36 for receiving or speaking phone calls.

Description

HANDS-FREF, COMMUNICATION DEVICE FOR VF,HICLE The invention relates to a
hands-free communication device for attaching to vehicle or the lilac.
Various kinds of lands-lree communication devices have been developed for coupling portable phones or mobile phones to the electric power suppliers of vehicles, house buildings, airplanes, buses, or the like, Of allowing users to speak the phones without carrying the handsets of the portable phones or mobile phones.
Most of the hands-free communication devices are coupled to the portable phones or mobile phones with electric wires or cables, and also coupled to the electric power suppliers of vehicles, house buildings, airplanes, buses, or the like with electric wires or cables, such that a number of cables are required to be provided and coupled between the electric facilities, and such that the movement of the drivers or passengers may be limited or interfered.
In addition, the portable phones or mobile phones are normally plugged or attached to the hands-free communication devices, and are normally required to be disposed close to the drivers or passengers, such that the electromagnetic waves generated by the portable phones or mobile phones may also influence or hurt the drivers or passengers.
It is accordingly an object of the present invention to provide a handsfree communication device for attaching to vehicle or the like, and for allowing the drivers or passengers to speak the phone without holding or carrying the handsets of the portable phones or mobile phones.
The other object of the present invention is to provide a hands-free communication device having a blue-tooth device for receiving and calling the portable phones or mobile phones Tirelessly, and thus for allowing the hands-free communication device and the portable phones or mobile phones to be disposed away from the drivers or passengers.
SUMMAllY 6)F TI-lE: INVE:NTIQIN According to the invention there is provided a hands-free communication device comprising: a housing, i0 at least one battery disposed in the housing, a circuit board disposed in the housing, a blue-tooth device disposed on the circuit board, and an antenna coupled to the blue-tooth device, for sending and receiving phone calls wirelessly.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a hands-free communication device comprises a housing 10 for being disposed in vehicles, house buildings, airplanes, buses, or the like, and for coupling to the electric power sources of the vehicles, the house buildings, the airplanes, the buses, or the like with various kinds of adapters 90, 91, 92, 93, 94.
As shown in I-IGS. 2-G, the housing 1O includes a base l l and a cover l 9 secured together with fasteners, latches, or the dike. The base 1 l includes a casing 12 having a space 13 formed therein to receive one or more batteries 14 therein, such as the chargeable batteries 14, and a cap 1 5 for enclosing the space 13, to retain the batteries 14 within the space 13 of the casing 12.
the base I 1 includes a chamber 16 formed therein, a speaker l 7 disposed in the chamber 16 thereof, and disposed in the front portion thereof, for facing toward the drivers or passengers (FIG. l).
A circuit board 30 is received in the chamber 16 ofthe housing to, and secured to the base l l with fasteners, latches, or the like, and includes a blue tooth device 31 for telecommunication purposes.
The circuit board 30 includes a socket or coupler 32 for coupling to another coupler 95 (FIG. 2) which may be coupled to the adapters 90-94 with electric wires or cables 96, for coupling the circuit board 30 to the electric power sources of the vehicles, the house buildings, the airplanes, the buses, or the like, and thus for allowing the communication device to be used everywhere.
The circuit board 30 includes a switch 33 for switching on and off the electric power supplied to the circuit board 30, and a knob 34 for adjusting the volume of the sound, a button 35 for receiving or speaking phone calls, another button 36 for switching off or for terminating the phone calls, a light device 37 for indicating the using of the circuit board 30, and another coupler 38 for coupling to ear pieces or the like.
The cover 19 includes one or more antennas 20 coupled to the blue tooth device 3] for telecommunication purposes or for receiving and scolding phone calls from and to the portable phones 99 (FIG. l) wirclessly, and inclucies two buttons 21, 22 aligned with the buttons 35, 36 respectively, for depressing the buttons 35, 36 via the buttons 21, 22.
The cover] 9 further includes a speaker 23 attached thereto for amplifying and/or for sending out the phone calls, and includes lO another light device 24 for indicating the incoming phones.
It is to be noted that the blue tooth device 3 l may receive and send phone calls from and to the portable phones 99 wirelessly, such that the housing 10 may be disposed away from the drivers or passengers, and may thus prevent the drivers or passengers from being hurt by the electromagnetic waves that may be generated by the portable phones or mobile phones. s

Claims (5)

  1. CLAIMS: ]. A hands-free communication device comprising: a housing, at
    least one battery clisposesl in the lousing, a circuit boa, d disposed ilk the housing, a blue-tooth device disposed on the circuit board, and an antenna coupled to the blue-tooth device, for sending and receiving phone calls wirelessly.
  2. 2. A communication device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the circuit board includes a first coupler for coupling to electric power source, a second coupler for coupling to an ear piece, a knob for adjusting volume of sound, a first button for receiving or speaking phone calls, a second button for terminating the phone calls, and a light device for indicating using of the circuit board.
  3. 3. A communication device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the housing includes a cover having two buttons aligned with the buttons, and a light device.
  4. 4. A communication device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the housing includes a casing having a space to receive the battery, and a cap to enclose the space of the casing.
  5. 5. A communication device substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
