Abstract

A dimmer switch for an electrical table or stand lamp may be controlled manually or by remote sensor. An electronic control system, comprising a mini circuit board and electronic dimmer is fitted into an electrical plug which is connected to the lamp holder. The power cable connecting the two includes an extra wire connecting the dimmer switch sensor to the electronic dimmer. The remote controller may be infrared or radio based, and may also control functions such as on/off, override and program date and time information.

Description

THE DESCRIPTION
This invention is based on controlling the amount of light emitted from an electrical table or stand lamp by either manual or remote control, or both The idea is to insert an extra wire running down the conventional power cable, to an electronic plug.
One end of the wire is attached to a dimmer switch sensor, which is situated under the on, off, switch. The other end of the wire is attached to an electronic plug which hold electronic dimmer.
To control the lamps brightness by manual touch simply press dimmer sensor switch. Message is sent down power cable to electronic plug witch denotes amount of light required To control the lamp by remote, press desired button. Message is sent to electronic plug, which holds timing device"on and offs' and dimming information data.
A manufactured device can be made with or without remote 80% of claim, remote control and timer switch and extra wire running, fi om switch to plug is already held under granted Patent no. 2353158

Claims (7)

1. Inserting an electronic timing and dimming device within the casing of one or more of the following.
A an electrical wall lamp B an electrical stand lamp C an electrical wall plug whereby devices A to C can be controlled by a remote control unit, and wherein the electronic timing and information device comprises an electronic chip, which is easily replaceable, in the manner that an electronic fuse in an electrical plug is easily replaceable.
2. As in Claim 1 wherein the electronic chip can function as a mini computer and perform numerous operations in conjunction with the timing part, of the timing and information device.
3. As in any preceding claim, the remote control unit controlling the electronic timing and dimming device via infra red rays.
4. As in any preceding claim, the remote control unit controlling the electronic timing and dimming and information device via radio waves.
5. As in any preceding claim, the remote control providing different functions, including on, and off, and override commands and providing date and time, for the electronic timing dimming and information device
6. As in any one of claims A. to C. an electronic eye being inserted inside an electrical wall lamp or stand lamp said electronic eye relaying messages from remote control unit, or fingertip control switch to the electronic timing dimming and information device.
7. As in any one of claims A to C where there is an an electronic eye attached to the electrical wall plug, an electrical wire running from the electronic wall plug, and down the conventional power cable to the electronic dimmer switch thus enabling lamp to be operated for dimness, without remote, and can be controlled by manual finger control button which is situated under on and off switch on lamp
