DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ICE CREAM
The present invention relates to ice cream manufacturing devices and methods, and particularly to a device for manufacturing ice cream quickly.
s In the prior art ice cream manufacturing device, a machine table is installed with a cylinder and an agitator therein. The liquid within the cylinder is temperature-reduced as ice and then the agitator stirs the ice as ice cream.
However, this prior art has the following disadvantages. The device has a larger volume and thus it is not suitable to be used at home. Refrigerant and to compressors are necessary and longer time is necessary for getting the ice cream. A large amount of ice cream is acquired at one time and thus it is not suitable to be used at home.
An object of the present invention is to alleviate at least some of the above disadvantages.
In one embodiment a device for manufacturing ice cream quickly comprises a machine table having a rotary bush and a shaft seat at two ends. A detachable rotary cylinder is installed between the rotary bush and the shaft seat.
The detachable rotary cylinder has an outer cylinder, an inner cylinder within the outer cylinder; an inner wall surface of the inner cylinder being installed with a so plurality of stirring ribs; a temperature isolating layer installed between and firmly secured to the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder; a metal rolling cylinder within the inner cylinder; the metal rolling cylinder being filled with water; ice blocks being filled in a space between the inner cylinder and the metal rolling cylinder; an opening of the metal rolling cylinder being sealed by a rubber seal cover; and as a cover tightly seal the inner cylinder in the outer cylinder. When the rotary cylinder rotates, the stirring ribs protruded from the inner wall of the inner cylinder of the rotary cylinder moves. The ice blocks and metal rolling cylinder are driven to move; moreover. The movement of the ice blocks will induce the metal rolling cylinder to displace or turn further; the metal rolling cylinder reduces the so temperature of the ice blocks so that the liquid in the rotary cylinder is reduced.
Moreover, the movement of the rotary cylinder cause the liquid in the metal rolling cylinder to be cooled as ice cream without condensing into ice.
The various objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood from the following detailed description of preferred embodiments by way of example only, when read in conjunction with Figures 1 to 6 of the appended drawings, wherein: Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the above embodiment; Fig. 3 is an axial cross sectional view of the above embodiment; to Fig. 4 is a transverse cross sectional view of the above embodiment; Fig. 5 is a perspective view of the drum of the above embodiment; and Fig. 6 is a perspective exploded view of a further embodiment.
The description and the appended drawings are intended to enable those skilled in the art to understand the features and advantages of the present invention, but not to limit the scope of the present invention as defined in the appended claims.
With reference to Figs. 1, 2, 3 and 4, the preferred embodiment comprises a machine tablet with a rotary bush 2 at one end. The rotary bush 2 is connected to a shaft (not shown) of a motor (not shown) within a case 19. The ho rotary bush 2 protrudes at one end of the machine table 1. Another end of the machine table 1 is installed with a shaft seat 3. A detachable rotary cylinder 100 is installed between the rotary bush 2 and the shaft seat 3. A metal rolling cylinder20 is installed within the rotary cylinder 100.
The rotary cylinder 100 is formed by an outer cylinder 10, an inner cylinder 16, a temperature isolating layer 18, and a cover 12.
The outer cylinder 10 has a buckle 15.
The temperature isolating layer 18 is installed between and firmly secured to the outer cylinder 10 and the inner cylinder 16. One end of the outer cylinder is installed with a driven shaft 11 which can be inserted into the rotary bush 2 of the machine table 1.
One side of the cover 12 has a hook 120 for buckling the buckle 15 of the outer cylinder 10 so that the cylinder cover 12 can tightly seal the inner cylinder 16 in the outer cylinder 10. An outer center of the cylinder cover 12 is a supporting shaft 13. A bearing14 is mounted around the supporting shaft 13.
The supporting shaft 13 and the bearing 14 are installed in the shaft seat 3 of the machine table 1 so that the rotary cylinder 100 is rotatable in equilibrium. An inner wall surface of the inner cylinder 16 is installed with a plurality of stirring ribs 17. Ice blocks 5 are filled in the inner cylinder 16. The metal rolling cylinder is placed in the ice blocks 4.
to The metal rolling cylinder 20 is made of heat conductive metal. An opening of the metal rolling cylinder 20 is sealed by a rubber seal cover 21.
Moreover, liquid 5 to be cooled by the ice blocks 4 to form ice cream is filled in the metal rolling cylinder 20.
In the application of the present invention, the metal rolling cylinder 20 is detached from the machine table 1. Then ice blocks 4 are filled into the inner cylinder 16. The metal rolling cylinder 20 filled with liquid 5 is placed in the ice blocks 4. Then the cylinder cover 12 is covered, and buckled so that the driven shaft 11 of the outer cylinder 10 of the rotary cylinder 100 is inserted into the rotary bush 2. Since the rotation of the motor is not the object of the present ho invention, the details will not be further described here and the supporting shaft 13 and bearing 14 of the cylinder cover 12 is engaged to the shaft seat 3 of the machine table 1. The machine table 1 is then used to rotate the rotary cylinder for a suitable period (about 8 minutes). The stirring ribs 17 protruding from the inner wall of the inner cylinder 16 of the rotary cylinder 100 move, as shown in Figs. 3 and 4, and the ice blocks 4 and metal rolling cylinder 20 are driven to move. Moreover, the movement of the ice blocks 4 will induce the metal rolling cylinder 20 to displace or turn further. The metal rolling cylinder 20 is reduced in temperature by the ice blocks 4 so that the temperature of the liquid 5 in the rotary cylinder 100 is decreased. Moreover, the movement of the rotary cylinder so 100 causes the liquid 5 in the metal rolling cylinder 20 to be cooled to ice cream without condensing into ice.
In the present invention, the ice cream can be got rapidly. The principle will be described here. The metal rolling cylinder 20 will transfer the heat of the water in the metal rolling cylinder 20 to the ice and the movement of the ice blocks 4 and metal rolling cylinder 20 cause the liquid 5 and ice blocks 4 to move rapidly. Thereby, the temperature of the liquid 5 in the metal rolling cylinder 20 can be reduced greatly. Moreover, the thermal isolating layer 18 serves to retain the temperature of the ice blocks 4 so that all the ice blocks 4 is contributed to the reduction of the temperature of the liquid 5 in the metal rolling cylinder 20.
Moreover, in the present invention, the stirring ribs 17 may be formed as a to plurality of particle like structure so as to acquire the effect of moving the ice blocks 4 and metal rolling cylinder 20.
Thereby, from above description, it is known that in the present invention, the ice cream can be got quickly. No refrigerant and compressor are necessary.
Moreover, different liquids, such as juice, soda, milk can be placed within the metal rolling cylinder 20 so as to get the required ice cream.
With reference to Fig. 6, another embodiment of the present invention is illustrated. A polygonal rotary drum 101 is used. One end of the rotary drum has a hole 102. The rotary bush 2 of the machine table 1 has a respective driving shaft 103 which protrudes from the machine table 1. A handle 104 is installed to the shaft 103 so that the rotary cylinder is rotatable by swinging the handle 104 to drive the shaft 103.
The present invention having been thus described, it will be apparent that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the scope of the present invention which is defined in the claims.
