Abstract

A wrist watch, particularly for a child, has visual and audible alarms which are activated remotely on receipt of a PIN code signal sent via a mobile telephone by a parent/carer. The purpose of the alarms is to alert a person in the vicinity of the child that the child is lost or in distress. The watch also bears a message, including the parent/carer's mobile telephone number, enabling the person finding the child to contact the parent/carer. A tracker activated on receipt of the PIN code signal may also be incorporated.

Description

CHILDRENS SAFETY WATCH
This invention relates to a watch which includes a audible alarm, flashing light and could also include a tracker.
Children getting lost or being abducted is a worry for all parents/person with care. When a child is lost and distressed, it is very difficult for the general public to know whether the child is lost or has just been told off and the person with care is close by.
The object of this invention is a way of alerting the general public that the child in question is in trouble and gives them the green light to interfere.
The watch is for the child a means of telling the time, the watch could be designed in many styles, it should be waterproof and shatterproof.
When the child is lost the person with care dials a pin code from their mobile phone which activates an audible alarm on the childs watch, and makes the watch flash a viewable light source. The watch could also contain a minute tracker which could also be activated on receiving the pin code signal from the parent/person with care mobile.
The audible alarm and light source would be a clear message that the child is in trouble, at which point the general public have been given a clear message to interfere and help the distressed child.
Around the outside of the watch is a message, such as 'Help I am lost please ring' and a mobile phone number corresponding to the person with cares mobile phone number.
The invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: FIG 1 shows the watch with message.
FIG 2 shows a standard mobile phone sending a signal to the watch.
FIG 3 shows the watch on the childs wrist.
The watch comprises (a) a strap, this should be made in a way that makes it impossible to remove the watch from the childs wrist, and from a material that cannot be cut with conventional tools, (b) speakers to hear the audible alarm, (c) person with cares mobile phone number, (d) message eg 'I am lost please ring', (e) watch face, (f) conventional watch hands, (g) concealed behind the face a light source, audible alarm and tracker.
Should the child disappear, the parent with care dials a pin code from their mobile (FIG 2) which activates the audible alarm and light source (g), the audible alarm can be heard from the speakers (b) and the light source can be viewed from behind the watch face (e). At such point a member of the general public can read the message (d) and dial the mobile phone number (c) to let the person with care know where the child is. r
