Wind-screens, - In road vehicles, the sockets a in the bodv or door of the vehicle for receiving the pegs of the side curtains or the like are provided with one or more flexible tongues a<2> having their extremites formed as teeth or prongs a<3> which normally project outwardly beyond the exterior wall of the socket whereby, when the socket is inserted in its bore b<1>, it is positively locked against withdrawal. The tongues a<2> may also constitute an inward swell or bulge a<4> to provide a flexible frictional grip upon the peg c'. The sockets may be formed with the. tongues pointing downwards, the prongs engaging the underside of the top rail of the body, and the tongues may be arranged spirally or otherwise in relation to the body of the socket.
