Abstract

A device for the prevention of nausea caused by motion and by the inhalation of combustible vapours, characterized in that it is composed by a set of lobes 2 executed in cotton or silk cloth, such lobes being presented as tubular zones separated by seams 3,4, which are filled with cereal grain preferably rice, but also rye, and seeds from aromatic herbs, and which presents such a configuration that when it is placed on a user's head it embraces the temples, the hair implantation area near the front and the top of the user's head. To that purpose it has a slightly elongated form wherein the central portion is larger, compared with the ends that must overlap the user's temples.

Description

DESCRIPTION
DEVICE FOR THE PREVENTION OF NAU8A CAUSED BY MOTION UND BY THE INHALATION OF C08TIBLB VAPOUR8- The present invention concerns a device for the prevention of nausea caused by motion and by the inhalation of combustible vapours. More particularly, the present invention concerns a device that is applied on a user 'a head and which exerts a certain pressure and massages chosen site" on the head, preventing the nausea related with motion and, simultaneously, exhales the flavour of previously chosen products thus preventing the nausea caused by the inhalation of combustible vapours.
Background art
Several methods and devices suitable to avoid the nausea caused by motion, particularly the motion of automobiles and the motion of waves in boats, have long niece been known, Indeed, it is a known phenomenon that motion may cause nausea and discomfort to the passengers of any vehicle.
Among the best-known methods are undoubtedly those having recourse to drugs. 2'
Patent EP 537291 concerns a method for the treatment of nausea and vomiting related with Transport nausea", Such a method unes vasopresin derivatives, which presents a V1 antagonist activity, which alleviate the symptoms caused by transport nausea.
Other methods have recourse to the Chinese medical practice, as the patent application CN 138007G, which recommends the use of Chinese medical materials as the seeds of cardamom, the fruits of ammo and ginger. The great advantage of this drug is the absence of side effects.
Other method" do also have recourse to special devices. It is the case of patent GB 287.695, which uses a specially configured and composed belt; of patent OB 414.671, which refers to a device that is placed on the user's head and which applies heat upon the user 'a skull, particularly upon the occipital orifice area; and of patent GB 227.S07, which employs a device that exerts pressure on specific parts of the brain through small plaques that cannot be removed.
The present invention has recourse to device that is very easily used and manufactured and which does only employ natural products, without any function of heat or pressure. Therefore, it provides several advantages in relation to the prior art, namely in what concerns the complete absence of side effects and the use of natural products.
Brief description of the drawings
Just for illustration purposes attached herewith is sheet of drawings wherein: - Fig. 1 depicts an upper view of the device that is the object of the invention; and - Fig. 2 depicts an under view of the device shown in the preceding f igure; and - Fig. 3 depicts a partial cross-sectional view of the device shown in the preceding figures, Detailed doacriptlon of the invent. on As it may be seen in the figures, the device, generically represented by reference 1, is basically constituted by a net of lobes 2 made of cotton or silk cloth and filled with cereal grains. The said device 1 exhibits such configuration that, when placed on a uteri head, it embraces the temples, the area of implantation of the hair near the front and the top of the user'" head. To that purpose, it has a "lightly elongated form wherein the central part is larger than the ends that must overlap the user's temples.
Device 1 is composed by a sole piece of cotton or silk cloth forming the said lobes 2 by means of two seams 3 that finish them at their ends and a cloning seam 4 along the longer dimension of each lobe. These lobes are arranged so that they are adjacent to each other and overlapping an unbent portion 5 on which lay the lobes 2.
The lobes do, therefore, present themselves as tubular zones that are filled with cereal grains, preferably rice, but also rye, and eeede from aromatic herbs. The type of configuration of the lobes and the filling material employed allows the lobes, in particular, and the whole device, in general, to have a certain flexibility and mobility. In other words, when the device i" applied on the user 'a head and the latter is subjected to the movement inherent to the motion inside any vehicle, be it an automobile, a boat or similar, certain pressures are exerted on the scalp and, consequently, on the user's skull, by the weight of the cereal grains, particularly on the temples, on the hair implantation area near the front and at the top of the head This pressure, together with the grains mobility inside the lobes 2, shall impart a massage effect that is believed to inhibit the discomforting sensation caused by nausea.
On the other hand, the addition of seeds from determined aromatic herbs to the cereal grains inhibits the sensation caused by combustible vapours, namely Gasoline and gas oil, which, for many passengers of motor vehicles are, if not the main cause, at least a cause that determines a disagreeable sensation that normally originates the nausea.
Device 1 may be direct ly placed on the head or applied inside millinery articles like hate, cap" and any other head protector an, for instance, Scarves. Thus, the device is totally covered and is supported by the millinery article by means of any fixing system such as solving, Velcro, etc.

Claims (5)

  1. CL&INS 1. Device for the prevention of nausea caused by motion and by the
inhalation of combustible vapours, characterized in that it is composed by a set of lobes 2 made of cotton or milk cloth, such lobes being presented as tubular zones which are filled with cereal grains, preferably rice, but also rye, and seeds from aromatic herbs, and which presents such a configuration that, when placed on a uterus head, it embraces the temples, the hair implantation area near the front and the top of the users head. To that effect, the form thereof is slightly elongated and the central part is larger when compared with the ends that must overlap the uner's temples.
  2. 2. Device for the prevention of nausea, according to the preceding claim, character) sod in that it is composed by a single cotton or silk cloth that forms the said lobes 2 by means of two seams 3 which finish the ends thereof and one closing seam 4 along the longer dimension of each lobe, the lobes being arranged adjacent to each other and overlapping an unbent portion 5, on which lays each one of the lobes 2.
  3. 3. Device for the prevention of nausea, according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the lobe" are shown as tubular zones or cloned channels.
  4. 4, Device for the prevention of nausea, in accordance with the preceding claims, characterized in that the formation of lobes 2 and the material used for the filling thereof allows that the lobes, in particular, and the whole of the device, in general, have a certain flexibility and mobility, such that, when the device is applied on a uterus head, and this is subjected to the movements inherent to the, motion inside any vehicle, be it an automobile, a boat or similar, determined pressures are exerted on the scalp and, consequently, on the user's skull, by the weight of the cereal grain=, particularly on the temples, on the hair implantation area near the front and on the top of the head. Such pressure, together with the grains mobility inside the lobes 2, shall exercise a massaging effect that inhibits the sensation of discomfort caused by nausea.
  5. 5. Device for the prevention of nausea, according to the preceding claims, characterized in that it may be placed directly on the head or applied inside a millinery article as hats, cape and any other head protector as, for instance, scarves, thus being totally covered and supported by the millinery article by means of any fixing system such as Rowing or Velcro.
