Abstract

A heating or cooling device (1) for storing perishable food characterised by the device comprising an housing forming an enclosed space, including an upwardly facing panel (12) having a layer of insultation (14) and an opening therein through which a container of food (16) can be positioned within the housing, wherein the container (16) when supported in the opening the majority of the container is positioned below the layer of insultation (14) and thereby exposed to the temperature conditions within the housing.
