Abstract

A costume for a child has a belt 5 with a tail attached where the belt is adjustably fastened by Velcro (RTM) 3 to allow the belt to fit various sized waists of children. The belt preferably contains a sound box 4 that can be activated to produce an animal noise by applying pressure to the box. The tail is preferably made from material that resembles a real animal's tail in colour and shape. A tag comprising a picture of the relevant animal on one side and a story of the animal on the other may be attached to the belt.

DESCRIPI ION

CHILDREN'S DRESS UP ANIMAL TAILS WITH SOUND A number of different children's dress up costumes exist in the market today, including animal costumes and animal tails. This invention improves on the existing animal tails by the insertion of a sound box in the belt attached to the animal tails which can be readily activated by the application of pressure.

A child's dress up animal tail in accordance with this invention comprises a material animal tail attached to a narrow material belt. The material belt is worn by the child and adjusted by Velcro fastener.

The material of the said tail contains the pattern of the animal. The application is applied to all animal types whether extinct, living or referred to in myth such as Mermaids and Dragons. The tails are made to resemble a close approximation of the real animal's tail in colour and shape.

The invention may be better understood with reference to the illustrations of embodiments of the invention which: Figure I is a front view of the animal tail with sound with Velcro fastener 3 and sound box 4 identified on the material waistband 5. Figure I also showing the attached swing tag comprising picture of the relevant animal on the front and short rhyming tale ofthe aforementioned on the back 6.

Figure 2 shows a side view of the animal tail with sound identifying the attachment of the tail to the material waistband 7. 3.

Claims (5)

1. The claims defining the invention are as follows: 1. A child's dress up animal tail affixed to a narrow material belt with adjustable Velcro fastener to accommodate different child sizes.
2. 2. A child's dress up animal tail as claimed in claim I wherein the narrow belt contains a sound box insert with corresponding recorded animal noise activated by the application of pressure on the said sound box.
3. 3. A child's dress up animal tail according to claim I or claim 2 wherein the tails are made from material containing a relevant animal pattern.
4. 4. A child's dress up animal tail according to any ofthe claims I to 3 wherein the tail has attached a short rhyming tale relevant to the particular animal type.
