Abstract

A toilet brush comprising a handle and a cleaning head 3 which may be removed from the handle and disposed of and flushed away after use. The handle is fitted with an internal spring loaded release mechanism 1 which when pressed causes the cleaning head to be ejected from the opposite end of the handle. The cleaning head may incorporate a blister containing anti-bacterial cleaning fluid which is released when pressure is applied to the blister.

Description

THE DESCRIPTION 'A more hygienic toilet brush' Background The toilet brush has remained an unhygienic toilet-cleaning accessory. Once used, the conventional toilet brush harbours many hazardous germs. In addition, the brush head remains soiled and the brush holder stores the residue from the toilet water and waste. This 'more hygienic toilet brush' has a disposable brush head that can be flushed away after a single application. Essential features of the more hygienic toilet brush are: Disposable, flushable brush head Blister in brush head containing toilet-cleaning fluid. Spring-loaded internal release mechanism on brush wand for no-touch usage Non-essential features of the more hygienic toilet brush are: Slim-line, space saving holder Colour co-ordinated wand Introduction to drawings Fig. 1 - This drawing illustrates the complete cross-section and internal/external mechanisms of the more hygienic toilet brush. Ref 1- One touch release mechanism to eject the disposable head. This is spring-loaded and when pressed after use, will release the whole brush head. Ref 2 - Re-coiling spring for easy disposal of brush head. Ref 3 - Disposable brush head. Ref 4 - Paper filament for abrasive cleaning of toilet bowl (exact number of filaments to be determined) Ref 5 - Fluid blister which, when pressure is applied, releases an anti-bacterial cleaning fluid that can be used, in conjunction with the brush, for cleaning of the toilet bowl.

  1. THE CLAIMS 'A more hygienic toilet brush' Claim 1/3 The more hygienic toilet brush has a one-touch release mechanism that is used to eject a disposable head after one use. Claim 2/3 The more hygienic toilet brush has a disposable head that is flushable. Claim 3/3 The disposable head of the more hygienic toilet brush incorporates a blister that contains a cleaning fluid and is activated by pressure.
