Abstract
A card 10 has an attachment structure for a storage device such as a CD or DVD 20. The disc may be a name card type disc or be cut into any versatile type. The card may be a greeting card or invitation card, or an advertisement card or postcard. The attachment might be a column 31 having circular, hexagonal or star section which is integral with the card. This engages with the central hole 21 in the disc. Alternatively, the attachment might be plural raised spots 37, a transparent bag (32, figure 5) attached to the card by adhesive, or notches (33, figures 6,7) cut into the card to hold the rim of the disc, or a groove (recess) (34,figure 10), together with cover sheet (36, figure 10).
Description
CARD WITH ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE FOR STORAGE DEVICE
The present invention relates to a card with an attachment structure for a storage device, and more particularly to a card whose body is facilitated with an attachment structure for attaching a storage device.
A traditional market available greeting card, general invitation card and wedding invitation card and even an advertisement paper, name card and postal card are all plain cards on which a scenery or picture is formed. A user can only print or write words wanting to be expressed on the surface of the card and cannot express them with a multi-media way such as video/audio recording which allows the other party to understand the feeling and ideas that the user wants to express.
However, storing designed and edited music and images in a storage device, such as digital versatile disc, video disc and audio disc, to today's technology of video/audio digitization it is not difficult.
Therefore, how to attach a storage device on the surface of the card to allow a consumer to show his idea and feeling by the way of a storage device in addition to word expression is a major topic of the present invention.
Therefore, the main object of the present invention is to provide a card with an attachment structure for a storage device, causing a storage device to be a part of a card by using an attachment structure on the card for loading the storage device so that a user can show his own idea and feeling by arranging the card and the storage device, such as digital versatile disc, video disc and audio disc, into a pair.
For attaining to the object mentioned above according to the present invention, a card with an attachment structure for a storage device of a preferred embodiment according to the present invention comprises: a card; and an attachment structure disposed on the surface of the card \ for accepting the storage device on the surface of the card to cause the card and the storage device to be united into one body.
Now the foregoing and other features and advantages of preferred embodiments of the present invention will be best understood through the following descriptions by way of example only and with reference to the accompanying drawings, wherein: FIG. l is an exploded view showing a card with an attachment structure for a storage device of a first preferred embodiment according to the present invention; FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a card with an attachment structure for a storage device of a first preferred embodiment according to the present invention; FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing another type of raised column of a card with an attachment structure for a storage device of a first preferred embodiment according to the present invention; FIG. 4 is a cross- sectional view showing a structure forming a raised column and card integrated into one body according to a first preferred embodiment according to the present invention; FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing a card with an attachment structure for a storage device of a second preferred embodiment according to the present invention; FIG. 6 is an exploded view showing a card with an attachment structure for a storage device of a third preferred embodiment according to the present invention; FIG. 7 is a perspective view showing a card with an attachment structure for a storage device of a third preferred embodiment according to the present invention; FIG. 8 is an exploded view showing a card with an attachment structure for a storage device of a fourth preferred embodiment according to the present invention; FIG. 9 is a perspective view showing a card with an attachment structure for a storage device of a fourth preferred embodiment according to the present invention; FIG. 10 is a perspective view showing a paper sheet stuck on a card with an attachment structure for a storage device of a fourth preferred embodiment according to the present invention; FIG. 11 is a cross- sectional view showing a card with an attachment structure for a storage device of a fourth preferred embodiment according to the present invention; and FIG. 12 is a perspective view showing a card with an attachment structure for a storage device of a fifth preferred embodiment according to the present invention.
An exemplary embodiment embodying the features and advantages of the present invention will be expounded in the following paragraphs of descriptions. It is to be realized that the present invention is allowed to have various modifications in different respects, all of which are without departing from the scope of the present invention, and the description herein and the drawings are intended to be taken as illustrative in nature, and are not limiting.
Please refer to FIGS 1, 2 and 3. An attachment structure 30 can be a type of raised column 31.
The raised column 31 can be formed as a multilateral column such as a circular column, pentagonal column or star column, as shown in FIG. 3. When a user wants to fix a storage device such as a disc 20 on the card 10, he only needs to align a central round hole 21 of the disc 20 with the raised column 31 and press the disc 20 down to cause the central round hole 21 to be stuck around the circumference of the raised column 31 and then, the fixing of the disc 20 can be completed, as shown in FIG. 2. Besides, all types of patterns can be designed on the surface of the disc 20 to match up with the integral design of the card 10 to attain to the integral vision effect for the disc 20 and the card 10. When the user opens the card 10, he can soon view the written words in the card 10. When he wants to view the contents of the disc 20, he only needs to take the disc 20 out of the card 10 to cause the central hole 21 of the disc to be separated from the circumference of the raised column 31. And then, the disc 20 is taken down successfully and put into the drive for viewing. Therefore, the contents stored in the disc 20 can match with the words written or printed on the card 10 to achieve the mailing purpose for sharing the feeling and experience with others via corresponding images or music.
Thereby, the user can show his idea or feeling not only through the words but also by way of the disc 20.
The disc 20 mentioned above can be a digital versatile disc, video disc and audio disc having a diameter or largest characteristic dimension of 12 cm or 8 cm. The disc 20 also can be a name card type disc or be cut into any versatile type depending on needs. The surface area of the disc 20 may be printed with designed texts and patterns.
Please refer to FIG. 4. The raised column 31 can be made into one body with the card 10 to allow the raised column 31 to be more matched with the printing pattern on the surface of the card l O so that an overall design effect can be attained. Please refer to FIG. 5. The attachment structure 30 can be a bag 32 stuck on the card 10 by an adhesive (not shown) depending on needs. The bag 32 can prevent the disc 20 from being damaged or bruised while the disc 20 is placed into the bag 32. If the disc 20 needs to be further stored, the bag 32 can be detached from the surface of the card 10 and then the disc 20 can be separated from the card 10 easily.
Please refer to FIGS. 6 and 7. The attachment structure 30 can be a plurality of notches 33, each of which is relative to each other and cut on the card 10. The outside rims of the disc 20 are hold in the notches 33 as shown in FIG. 6 to allow the disc 20 to be fixed on the surface of the card 10.
Please refer to FIGS. 8 to 11. The attachment structure 30 is a groove 34 in the card 10. The groove 34 can be formed with any arbitrary shape matching with the shape of the disc 20. The circumference of the disc 20 is just got stuck in the rims 35 of the groove 34. If the disc 20 needs to be further fixed, a paper sheet 36 is used to stick over the groove 34 so as to strengthen the fixation of the disc 20.
Furthermore, please refer to FIG. 12. The attachment structure is a plurality of raised spots that are formed with the card 10 into one body or additionally added as fixtures on the card 10.
When the disc 20 is placed in the range surrounded by the raised spots 37, it can just be held and fixed by the raised spots 47.
While the present invention has been described in terms of what are presently considered to be the most practical and preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that the present invention need not be restricted to the disclosed embodiment. On the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements included within the scope of the appended claims which are to be accorded with the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar structures. Therefore, the above description and illustration should not be taken as limiting the scope of the present invention which is defined by the appended claims.
