Abstract

A frame 1 for a vehicle number plate includes one or more surfaces 2 for text or other advertising labels. Screws, double-sided adhesive tapes (3, Fig. 3) or other fastening means are used to attach the frame around the number plate. The dimensions of the frame will be determined by the size of the vehicle's registration plate and may be larger, smaller or made to fit.

Description

UK VEHICLE NUMBER PLATE FRAME
The invention relates to a number plate frame for the UK market.
The plate frame includes supports, such as clips formed by plastic extrusions or double sided adhesive strips which may be put anywhere on the back of the plate frame.
Number plate bordering as it exits in the UK at present uses the vehicle registration plate itself and is therefore subject to the regulations as laid down by the Ministry of Transport or the relevant regulatory bodies.
The frame system that we wish to put forward would be an entity in its own right and the restrictions that the legislation stipulates would not apply. This would give individuals a freedom of choice that they do not have at present.
Personalised text, logos, or labels could be printed or fixed onto the frame's surface, the vehicle's registration plate being unaffected.
The invention could be made of metal, wood, plastic or laminate materials.

Fig 1: Showing a front view of the plate frame. The plate frame would be in keeping with the profile of the registration number plate for motorised road vehicles. Fig 1/ 1 is part of the frame comprising of fig 1/ 2 where the dimension of this area is not restricted.

Fig3: 1 Showing the back view. In fig 3/ 3 hooks, screws, double-sided adhesives tapes, or fastening means are used to attach the frame around the registration number plate positioned at fig 3/1. Fig4:
Showing a front view of the plate frame where the registration number plate is placed/located at the front of the plate frame positioned at fig 4/5. The area fig 4/5 is not restricted and is made to accommodate the registration number plate. The area fig 4/2 is not restricted so as to allow and not to interfere with the registration number plate.

The plate frame is placed at the rear and/or the front of any motorised road vehicle and affixed as described above. 3.

Claims (6)

CLAIMS UK VEHICLE NUMBER PLATE FRAME
1. A plate frame with one or more areas for text, logos, banners, or labels designed to accommodate the profile of vehicle registration number plate.
2. As claimed in claim 1 where the supports include metal or plastic screws, hooks, clips or other fastening methods such as adhesives.
3. As claimed in claim 1 where the registration number plate is placed at the front (fig4) or the back (fig3) of the plate frame.
4. A plate frame made from metal, wood, laminates, or plastic materials or a combination of these materials.
5. A plate frame where text, logos, banners, labels are displayed anywhere on the frame.
6. A plate frame as herein described above and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
