Abstract

A food scoop comprising a narrow handle and a wide rounded scoop curving up at the sides for maximum holding capacity. Preferably the handle slopes down into the scoop (6, Fig 3). The food scoop may include a tapered end (2, Fig 1), a deep hollow (4, Fig 3) and a thin rim 3. The narrow handle allows the food scoop to be manoeuvred with ease.

Description

FOOD SCOOP
The invention relates to a food scoop of the type which includes a long narrow handle and a scoop with a larger rounded surface.
Other eating implements such as forks and knives are used to scoop food but suffer from the disadvantage that the knife is either too narrow to scoop substantial amounts or is too sharp for the mouth. The fork is unsuitable for liquids of smaller food stuffs.
An object of this invention is to scoop food in reasonably large quantities without mess and to stir as well as hold foods and liquids.
Accordingly, this invention provides a food scoop with a narrow handle to grip and manoeuvre with ease and a wide rounded scoop curving up at the sides for maximum holding capacity.
Preferably the food scoop is made of metal, plastic or wood and may be made in a variety of sizes to suit different stirring, mixing and serving needs.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows a front view of the food scoop.
Figure 2 shows a side view of the food scoop.
Figure 3 shows a view of the food scoop in which the width and depth of the scoop can be seen.
As shown in Figure 1 the scoop comprises a wide surface 1 with a tapered tip 2 As shown in figure 2 the curved sides provide a deep hollow 4 for holding food. The long thin handle 5 and the sloping of the handle into the scoop 6 provide easy grip and manoeuvrability.
As shown in figure 3 the thin rim combined with the elements shown in Figure 1 produce a large area in which to hold the food.
