Abstract

A pitched / stepped lintel has a back plate 10, horizontal plates 12 and vertical plates 14. Plates 12 and 14 may be varied in length and height to change the pitch angle, and may be secured by welding.

Description

PITCHED / S I tPPED LINTEL This invention relates to a pitched stepped
lintel.
Lintels are currently an intergral part of construction, generally a load baring beam to carry specific load over apertures for example: doorways and windows.
According to the present invention there is provided a pitched / stepped lintel.
Comprising a back plate with vertical and horizontal plates, extending at 90 degrees off the back plate to form steps.
Fig 1 shows in perspective a pitched / stepped lintel.
Refering to the drawing, the pitched / stepped lintel comprises back plate 10, horizontal plate 12 and vertical plate 14, secured to each other for example: by welding.
In order to change pitch of pitched / stepped lintel length of plates 10 and 12 may be varied.
