Abstract

A condom applicator to enable a condom to be applied quickly and easily, the device can be supplied with the condom already fitted or it can be purchased for the user to fit the condom to it. The rolled part of the condom is trapped in a cavity inside a ring. The ring can then be passed down the length of the penis and the condom will unroll onto the penis and will only release when the condom is at least 50% to 75% unrolled. The device can be disposable.

Description

Description
Condom Applicator This invention relates to a simple device to enable condom to be applied quickly, easily and correctly.
The condom is an essential item to prevent unwanted pregnancies and to prevent the acquisition and spread of sexually transmitted diseases.
For maximum protection and pleasure a condom must be unrolled evenly over the full length of the erect penis. Anyone who uses or has tried to use a condom will be aware of the difficulties of applying a condom resulting in loss of pleasure and or protection.
These problems are exacerbated by the slippery form of the condom due to the lubricant coating.
Due to the nature of the condom it is desirable to apply it quickly and simply.
The object of this invention is to overcome these problems with a device which will allow a condom to be applied rapidly and correctly. The device is designed to be small and compact enough to allow the condom to be supplied on the applicator in the same package.
Accordingly this invention provides a device that is a ring made of one (Figure. l) or more parts (Figures.2 & 4 & 5) of a material and construction that is strong enough to allow the device to work correctly. The ring can be large enough to fit over the average penis or can be of an expandable design. It incorporates an inner aperture (Figure 3.1) to accommodate the unrolled condom (Figures 6.1 & 7.1 & 8.1). The inner aperture Is accessed via an opening (Figure 3.2) that has a width less than the fully rolled condom but is of a width to allow the remaining part of the condom to pass through it when it is at least 50 to 75% unrolled (Figures 6.2 & 7.2 & 8.2) The condom can be fitted to the applicator by being forced through the smaller aperture (Figure 3.2) or it can be applied to part of the device and then secured by the fitting of another part. Examples as (Figure 4.1) (Figure 5.1) The result of this invention is that the user can hold the applicator and condom over the erect penis (Figures 9 & 10 & 11) and then by simply holding the Applicator ring by its sides they can then pass the applicator down the length of the penis (Figures l2 &13 & 14), this will cause the condom to pull out of the applicator and due to the fact that the unrolled part of the condom cannot pass through the slot it will naturally unroll onto the penis.
When the unrolled part of the condom is small enough the remainder of the condom will automatically release itself from the applicator. (Figures 13. I & 14.1) The applicator can then be discarded and any remaining rolled condom can be unrolled simply by hand.
The applicator can be manufactured in one or more pieces to allow the condom to be Filed to the applicator (Figures 4 & 5 show suggestions) by the condom manufacturer and the overall sizes of the device will depend on optimising design prior to manufacture.
The device can have a patterned edge to improve the users grip (Figure 3. 3) and the interior can be designed to ensure that the condom unrolls correctly.
The aperture slot out of which the condom is dispensed can be on the upper, lower or the inner side of the device. (Figures 6 & 7 & 8)

Claims (1)

  1. Claims 1, A condom applicator which is annular in shape with an inner
cavity to accommodate an unrolled condom. It also has a smaller slot between the inner cavity and the outside of the device of a width as to only allow an unrolled or a partially unrolled condom to pass easily through it.
2, A device as in claim 1 which is made up of one or more parts 3, A device as in all previous claims that incorporates a break in the annular ring to allow the device to increase in diameter.
4, A device as in claims 1&2 which is constructed in such a way as to allow the device to expand and increase in diameter.
5, A device as in all previous claims where the exit slot can be on the upper, lower or inner part of the device so that the condom can dispense from the upper, lower or inner side of the device.
6, A device as in all previous claims that relies on the design to unroll the condom.
7, A device as in claim 1 which is made of any material.
