Abstract

A waterproofed battery light source 1 that attaches to the rim of the toilet bowl. This is attached via a cable to a pressure switch 2 which can be hidden neatly under the toilet mat. The light source can be switched on by simply stepping on the pressure switch. This will illuminate the toilet bowl, which is particularly useful late at night, as switching on the main room light would normally disturb other members of the household.

This invention consists of an apparatus for lighting up the toilet bowl at night via a pressure switch on the floor.
Urinating in the toilet bowl at night, particularly for a man generally means the main light has to be switched on in the room, thus disturbing other members of the household who are probably sleeping. Trying to urinate in the toilet bowl at night without switching on the main room light is extremely difficult and generally leads to urine stains on the carpet or floor.
According to the present invention there is provided a battery light source connected to a pressure switch. The waterproofed light source is attached to the rim of the toilet bowl. The pressure switch can be put under or i A, incorporated into the toilet mat. To illuminate the toilet bowl one only has to step directly on the pressure switch thus making it possible to urinate safely in the dark.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows in plan view, the light source 1 attached to the toilet rim, and the pressure switch location 2.

Claims (2)

1. A waterproofed battery powered light source that attaches to the rim of the toilet bowl that can be switched on and off by a pressure switch on the floor thus illuminating the toilet bowl.
2. A switched light source as described herein with reference to figure 1 of the accompanying drawing.
