Abstract

A dispensing unit comprising first 1 and second compartments 4, the first containing a roll 2 of material or products to be dispensed and the second providing for used and/or soiled dispensed material, the interiors of the compartments being accessible allowing replenishment of the roll of material to be dispensed and the removal of the used and/or soiled dispensed material. The dispensing unit may additionally comprise a serrated edge 3 allowing the separation of the material into portions, may be adapted for mounting on a wall or may be fabricated from a plastics material. The dispensing unit is particularly suited for use with rolls of protective covers, such as shoe covers.

Description

2399810 Protective Cover Dispenser This invention relates to a Dispenser
for Protective Covers.
Protective Covers are widely used in Industry for example: To cover foot wear.
Covers are generally made of Polythene, and may incorporate elastic. Covers are usually supplied individually, or loosely in cartons.
The disadvantages of not having a protective cover dispenser, is personnel safety is at risk as well as others, when using an inadequate substitute, to store and dispose of used covers which may have been contaminated.
According to the present invention, a protective cover dispenser is provided with two compartments: À The first chamber provides storage for protective covers from a continual roll. A means of access is provided to permit replenishment À me second chamber makes provision for disposal and used or soiled covers. A means of access is provided for disposal of covers and removal of soiled covers.
The dispenser may preferably be provided with a means for fixing to a suitable surface eg., a wall, or to a suitable stand.
The dispenser may preferably be provided with a means for separating covers eg., a serrated strip.
The dispenser is preferably made from suitable durable and easily cleaned material such as plastics.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows in perspective, the protective cover dispenser in position.
Figure 2 shows in section, the protective cover dispenser.
The lower compartment (I), contains a roll of protective covers (2) connected by a removable means for example a perforated strip. The compartment is provided with an openable access to permit replenishment. A serrated edge (3) is provided to aid separation of covers as required. The upper compartment (4) for the disposal of soiled covers, is provided with a hinged flap (5) weighted or provided with a spring to return to the closed position. The dispenser is provided with means for fixing to wall, door or stand.

  1. C L A I M S
    Claim: 1 A Dispensing Unit for Protective Covers.
    Comprising of two Compartments.
    One of which contains a roll of Protective Covers.
    The Second providing for the disposal of used or soiled covers.
    Both Chambers being provided with a means of access to permit REPLENISHMENT.
    Claim: 2 A Dispensing Unit as described in Claim number: 1 In which a serrated edge is provided for separating the covers from the roll.
    Claim: 3 A Dispensing Unit as described in Claim number: 1 or 2 which is provided with a means for fixing to a WALL.
    Claim: 4 A Dispensing Unit as described in Claim numbers: 1, 2, & 3.
    Which is manufactured from Durable, flexible, PLASTIC MATERIAL.
    Claim: 5 A Dispensing Unit as described in any of previous claims In which the means of access is provided with a LOCKING DEVICE.
