Abstract

An edible composition intended to enhance or modify orally administered sexual stimulation (oral sex), providing an orally administered sexual stimulant composition which releases a stimulant into the mouth of a person for subsequent oral application to the genitalia of a sexual partner. The edible composition comprises at least one sexual stimulant and a carrier material. The carrier material may be comprised of confectionery based ingredients and materials. Preferably the sexual stimulant is adapted to trigger nerve cells in and around the genitals so as to produce a sensory response. The active ingredients of the sexual stimulant may include menthol based ingredients. The invention is intended to provide sexual enhancement and provide a new means for treatment of sexual dysfunction. Exemplified is a hard boiled sweet containing menthol.

Description

1 2398004 Orally administered sexual stimulants The present invention
relates to a composition intended to enhance or modify orally administered sexual stimulation (oral sex).
Sexual stimulants are available in gel or cream form for manual application to a person's body, particularly genitalia or other erogenous zones. There is a continuing need for sexual stimulants for enhancing sexual activities and the present invention aims to provide a new form of sexual stimulant which is intended to enhance sexual response of the recipient of oral sex.
FR-A-2598620 discloses an aromatic hydrosol of essential oil of Melissa Officinalis used in aerosol form as a stimulant of male sexual activity. Various creams and gels are available which contain menthol and are intended to be manually applied to the female genitalia, and in particular clitoris, in order to provide heightened and enhanced sexual response and orgasm.
The present invention provides an orally administered sexual stimulant composition which releases the stimulant into the mouth of a person for subsequent oral application to a sexual partner.
By sexual stimulant, the patentee intends to mean active substances which have a sexually stimulating or pleasing effect when applied to human genitalia, or active substances which may cause increased or decreased sensitivity of nerve cells in and around the genitals. The stimulants may be intended to provide sexual enhancement or provide a treatment of sexual dysfunction.
According to one aspect of the present invention there is provided an edible composition for oral consumption by one person for the purpose of oral application by that person to the genitalia of another person, which composition comprises at least one sexual stimulant and a carrier material.
Preferably the stimulant is adapted to trigger nerve cells in and around the genitals which produce a hot or cold sensory response, without substantially changing the temperature of the skin to which the composition is applied.
The stimulant may be adapted to trigger an increase or decrease in the flow of blood to the genitals.
The stimulant may be adapted to anaesthetize particular nerve cells in and around the genitals.
The active ingredient may be menthol, peppermint, spearmint, cinnamon, capsaicin, eucalyptus or eucalyptus oil or any combination thereof.
The dosage form may be in a form which is selected from: a solid, a gel, a paste, a cream, a powder, a liquid, a sprayable liquid formulation, an aerosol forming liquid formulation, a foam, an emulsion or a gum.
The composition is provided in a container adapted to form a spray of the liquid formulation, for example an aerosol. Alternatively, the composition may be provided as a liquid in a droplet dispenser.
In another aspect of the invention, the composition may be formed into a solid selected from a tablet, a lozenge, lollipop, capsule, hard shell confectionery and chewable centre confectionery, chewing gum, bubble gum, hard boiled confectionery, chocolate with hard or soft centre, flavoured strip which dissolves on placement on the tongue, popping candy which crackles on contact with the tongue, a powdered mint, a dissolvable capsule containing liquid or gel or emulsion or vapour.
The carrier material preferably comprises one or more of aspartame, glycerine, saccharin, citric acid, emulsifier, egg white, glazing agent (carnauba wax), phenylalanine, parsley oil, sorbitol, glucose, sucrose, fructose, cocoa. Any edible agent may however be used according to requirements.
The composition may further comprise one or more flavourings such as fruit, citrus, mint or chocolate flavours.
In yet another aspect of the invention the composition further comprises an anti bacterial agent, thereby providing limited precautionary protection against certain sexually transmitted diseases or other bacterial infections.
The composition may further comprise alcohol.
The composition may comprise liquids or substances having a rapid rate of evaporation at room temperature, for the purpose of producing a change in the temperature of the skin to which the liquid or substance is applied, providing a cooling effect through evaporation of the liquid or substance.
The composition may be a product that is a sugar-free confectionery, particularly comprising aspartame.
In one embodiment the stimulant stimulates human nerve endings to produce a feeling of heat. In this case the stimulant may be capsaicin or cinnamon. In another embodiment, the stimulant is an agent or combination of agents adapted to produce sensations of heat and cooling when applied to human genitalia. In yet another embodiment, the stimulant is adapted to produce heating sensations, but no cooling sensations, when applied to human genitalia. In a further embodiment, the stimulant is adapted to produce cooling sensations, but no heating sensations when applied to human genitalia.
The carrier material may form a solid matrix in which is admixed the sexual stimulant. The carrier material may form a solid matrix in which is formed a cavity or plurality of cavities in which is/are accommodated the sexual stimulant.
The carrier material may be selected from: food supplements, confectioneries, chocolate, toffee, gum, gelatine, ice cream, flavourings and colourings.
In a preferred aspect of the invention, the composition as hereinbefore described is provided in packaging which includes text or sign instructions which convey the intended purpose or mode of implementation of the composition.
Alternative sexual stimulants include mint substitutes such as cyclic alpha-keto enamines found in dark malt, traditionally used to brew beer and whisky. Such compounds work in the same way as menthol, triggering nerve cells that detect cold without changing the temperature. These tasteless mint alternatives have a cooling effect much stronger and longer-lasting than mint.
Following is a description with reference to the figures of the drawings of methods of putting the present invention into effect.
In the figures: Figure I is a cross section of a solid hardboiled sweet according to the present invention.
Figure 2 is a cross section through a hard boiled sweet with a central cavity for stimulant.
Figure 3 is a cross section through a hard boiled sweet with multiple cavities for stimulants.
Figure 4 is a cross section through a dissolvable capsule with a central cavity for stimulant.
In figure I the hard boiled sweet is made according to in accordance with conventional methods from a liquid sugar formulation having admixed therein menthol. Sufficient menthol is provided to release menthol from the sweet so that a sexually stimulating effect is felt by the recipient of oral sex when the confectionery is placed in the human mouth and allowed to dissolve to release the menthol.
In figure 2 the hard boiled sweet is provided with a hard shell 2 of sugar, which encloses a soft centre 3 which is loaded with menthol. Menthol is released when the hard exterior is chewed, and upon release of the menthol oral sex is enhanced by release of menthol onto the recipients genitalia. The hard shell 2 may also include active ingredients.
In figure 3 the hard boiled sweet comprises a sugary matrix 4 formed with a plurality of cavities 5. The cavities hold menthol based liquid. Upon sucking or chewing of the sweet menthol is released as the cavities are exposed by dissolution or fracture of the sugar matrix.
In figure 4 the dissolvable capsule 6 holds menthol based liquid within the central cavity 7. Upon sucking or chewing of the capsule menthol is released as the cavity is exposed by dissolution or fracture of the capsule.
The present invention is intended as an enjoyable and light-hearted adjunct to oral sex which provides enhanced sexual pleasure. The foregoing described particular embodiments involving menthol, although it will be appreciated that other embodiments are possible within the scope of invention defined by the claims hereinafter.
