Abstract

Visual, physical and fun way to see a phone ring where by a ring makes a mechanical movement of the phone which is fun to watch, makes the phone jump/flip when it rings or if its in your clothing then clothing expands and contracts.

Description

J
REFERENCE: Visual Mobile Phone Ring
Description
Title- Visual Mobile Phone Ring The small balls are inside the thin tubing as shown in figure 2. The mechanism is attached to the top, bottom and both sides to detect the position of the phone e.g. screen facing down, screen facing up or phone is on its bottom edge e.g. stood up as shown in figure 3. If possible maybe a gyroscope could be used to do the same job or other device to detect the phones position. In Figure 2 the balls have gone to the bottom because the phone is facing that way.
The balls would have to initiate some sort of electrical contact so the phone can receive the information to know which solenoid to activate.
Figure 1 shows a Solenoid connected to an oval pad. There would be 4 oval pads, 2 on the front and 2 on the back. The pads would be level with the phone case and when the phone rings or receives a text message the solenoid ejects the pads, one or two pads dependent on effect desired and dependent on phone position, sharply as much as possible and back a few times per ring or for every ring as shown in figure 4. The phone will realize its position due to the device on each side and know which pads to eject. Or any other device to do the same job of ejecting some part of the phone dependent on the phone's position.
So as an example when the phone is face up lying flat then only one oval pad at the top of the phone in the reverse side can move in and out giving the impression of the phone moving up and down from the top front end e.g. when the phone is put on a table etc. or under user setting maybe it can be set to alternate between the top reverse and bottom reverse eject panels per ring. Alternatively maybe the phone can have a setting so that for this case the user has the choice of having both reverse side pads ejecting in and out and this will cause the phone to flip over - then on next ring the opposite pads eject and the phone flips back.
