Abstract

Dialling a number on a wristwatch mobile phone 1 may be done by a rotating bezel 3 or by voice activation. The watch-phones features a digital dictaphone (RTM) or an FM or digital audio broadcasting receiver. The device has computer memory which can store data (eg driving license or ID details) and transfer the data to other devices, and may also include an electronic money transfer feature. Computer and WAP functions may be voice controlled, or a keypad and LCD display may be plugged in. Headphones may be connected via a jack socket or via infrared. A rechargeable battery forms an integral part of the wrist band. Text messages may be sent to another watch-phone using voice recognition, and the receiver of the message can listen to it being read out.

/ mobile phone.
Mobile phone technology is getting ever smaller so this is a natural progression of this technology into a handy two in one device.
According to the present invention there is an analogue and or digital time display 2 on a wristwatch I combined with mobile phone components speaker 5 and microphone 4. The dialling of a number may be done by means of a rotating bezel 3 or by an electronic voice activated dia]ling system.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows the wristwatch 1 with display 2 and bezel 3 microphone 4 and speaker 5. Alternatively the microphone may be fitted into a separate ear piece 6.

Claims (14)

  1. I A wristwatch / mobile phone comprising a wristwatch body and strap etc together with mobile phone components.
  2. 2. A wristwatch / mobile phone as claimed in claim 1 wherein the number to be dialled is obtained by using a rotating bezel.
  3. 3. A wristwatch / mobile phone as claimed in claim 1 or 2 wherein the number to be dialled is obtained by an electronic voice activated dialling system.
  4. 4. A wristwatch / mobile phone substantially as described herein with reference to figure I of the accompanying drawing.
  5. 5. A wristwatch / mobile phone as claimed in claim 1 - 4 wherein a number may be dialled in to activate a digital recording system so the device may be used as a Dictaphone.
  6. 6. A wristwatch / mobile phone as claimed in claim 1 - 5 wherein it may have some computer memory so that documents like driving licenses may be stored on it and be able to be transfered to other systems electronically.
  7. 7. A wristwatch / mobile phone as claimed in claim 1 - 6 wherein it may be able to contain all the information necessary for I.D. details to be stored and for it to be possible for those details to be electronically transfered to other equipment by radio.
  8. 8. A wristwatch / mobile phone as claimed in claim 1 - 7 wherein it may contain an electronic money transfer device patent application number 0300770.5
  9. 9. A wristwatch / mobile phone as claimed in claims 1-8 wherein it could be used as a cordless phone radio linked to a landline base station.
  10. 10. I. wristwatch / mobile phone as claimed in claims 1 wherein a portable liquid crystal display screen and key pad entry system may be plugged into the wristwatch / phone. to access WAP and other computer functions.
  11. 11. A wristwatch / mobile phone as claimed in claim 1-10 wherein it may also have a built in FM and or digital audio broadcasting receiver and a jack plug socket for headphones Or the watch may have an infra red unit so that infra red headphones may be used with it.
  12. 12. A wristwatch / mobile phone as claimed in claims 1-11 wherein it may have all of its computer and WAP functions operated by voice activation.
  13. 13. A wristwatch / mobile phone as claimed in claims 1-12 wherein the rechargeable battery may be made as an integral part of the wrist band to save space.
  14. 14. A wristwatch / mobile phone as claimed in claims 1-13 wherein its tenting function may be done by voice activation such that text may be spoken into it which may then be sent to appear on the screen of a conventional mobile phone or if sent to some other mobile phone / watch may then be held in its memory but, indicated as being there by an indicator on the watches display and may be got out of the phone by listening to the text message being readout by pressing a switch.
