Abstract

A toilet bowl sealing assembly comprises an upper panel 13 and a lower panel 14, wherein the upper panel 13 is placed over the toilet bowl adjacent the upper rim, and the lower panel 14 is placed inside the toilet bowl so that it abuts the underside of the toilet bowl rim. The panels 13, 14 are moved towards one another using a lever operated clamp, which draws up rod 2, and hence fixed lower panel 14, towards upper panel 13 on depression of trigger 3. The upper panel 13 is preferably free sliding on rod 2. The clamp can be released by operation of rod release plate 5. The assembly is useful in sealing off a toilet bowl in the event of a flood.

Description

Description
This invention relates to a panel compression gun to speed up the fitting of flood protection toilet panel covers and there simplicity to fit.
The top large panel is seated onto the upper rim of the toilet bowl, and the smaller panel is held rigid between two locking nuts on the end of the rod that is passing through the stock of the gun When the handle of the rod is turned clockwise or anti-clockwise the lower panel becomes locked below the inner toilet rim, upper panel staying in a given position when the handle of the rod is fumed.
The rod that is passing through the stock of the gun can be raised by pressing down on the trigger of the gun (fig 1 & 2, No 3) When the lower panel comes into contact with the lower inner rim of toilet bowl and the operator presses the trigger on the stock of the gun the pressure of the upper panel bears down onto the upper rim of the toilet bowl, lower panel being locked against the inner rim of toilet bowl.
The invention will be described with reference to drawings.
1 1 1) Shows the stock of the gun.
1A) Shows legs of the gun on stock to prevent the panel No 13 touching release trigger No 5 when raising lower panel into position below inner toilet rim. 2) Shows rod passing through stock of gun and panels.
3) Shows trigger of gun.
4) Compression spring.
5) Release plate that rod passes through and extends to both sides of stock leg 6) Shows gripper plate with rod passing through plate and stock of gun.
7) Shows spring to keep gripper plate in a downward position.
8) Shows large washer that is spot welded to legs of the gun stock.
9) Shows thread on end of rod.
10) Shows hole passing through rod for split pin.
11) Rivet passing through trigger and stock of gun.
12) Handle to turn rod and to lower the lower panel when mounted on to toilet bowl. 13) Upper panel to cover toilet.
14) Lower panel.
15) Large flat washer.
16) Locking nuts to hold panel rigid on rod.
17) Split pin.
- l: Panel compression gun to raise a panel A panel compression gun, to raise a panel, that is held rigid on the end of the rod of the gun, and a free sliding panel on the rod, below the stock of gun.
And when the panel that is held rigid between the two locking nuts on end of rod and placed within a toilet bowl inner rim of toilet bowl and the upper free sliding panel resting on upper rim of toilet bowl.
When the operator presses the trigger action gun the lower panel raises compressing the top panel to toilet bowl upper rim, sealing off a bowl within 10 seconds.
