Abstract

The invention provides an interface for coupling a standard lighting or camera control console to a directional sound unit of the type comprising an array of sonic output transducers. The interface operates such that one or more directional sound beams can be controlled by the lighting control console as if they were light beams. The interface may be a separate component or incorporated into the housing of the directional sound unit. This allows combined light and sound shows to be provided using a single control console.
