Abstract

A communication bandwidth controller and method is provided for controlling the bandwidth used by a plurality of users of a respective plurality of terminals connectable over multiple communication channels to at least one service provider. The controller accesses data associated with users of terminals, and controls the bandwidth available for each user to connect to the or each service provider by controlling the number of communication channels made available for communication between the terminals used by the users and the or each service provider in accordance with the accessed data associated with the users.
