Abstract

The pedal security lock consists of a base 1, a locking collar 2, a lock 3, a locking bolt 8 and a key 9. There is a hole 4 in the back of the base 1 and a hole 7 in the locking collar 2 which have the same diameter. The Base 1 is positioned under the pedals and the locking collar 2 is placed over the pedal arms and slotted into the base 1. The locking bolt 8 is then pushed through the holes 4 and 7 firmly to lock the pedal security lock. The design of the base 1 and locking collar 2 may be manufactured to different specifications to fit cars, vans or lorries.

Description

1. PEDAL SECURITY LOCK 23931 68
There are Marty motor vehicle security locks available, most of which are easily removed by car thieves. The pedal security lock consists of a base, locking collar, lock and three keys.
The base of the pedal security lock is made from four millimetre thick steel tubing, measuring four inches square by eight inches in width. The locking collar is made from a quarter inch solid steel plate that measures five and a half inches in height by seven and a quarter inches in width. Figure 2 is the front view of the locking collar 2 inserted into the base 1 showing the lock 3 and the arches 6 that slot over the pedal arms.
Figure 3 shows the back view of the locking collar 2 inserted into the base 1 showing the hole 4 for the locking bolt 8.
Figure 4 shows grooves 5 cut into the top of the base i to accept the locking collar 2.
Figure 5 is the face of the locking collar 2 showing the hole 7 to accept the locking bolt 8.
Figure 6 is a side view and shows how the lock 3 and the locking collar 2, work in unison.
2. The locking collar 2 is slotted into the base 1, the locking bolt 8 is pushed through the hole 4 in the base 1 and through the hole 7 in the locking collar 2 to activate the lock 3. The pedals are now secure. Insert the key 9 into lock 3 to release the locking bolt 8, withdraw the locking collar 2, to release the pedals.

Claims (2)

  1. I. The pedal security lock is designed to keep the pedals on a motor vehicle permanently secured. The object of the pedal security lock is to stop a motor vehicle from being stolen when parked.
  2. 2. The pedal security lock specifications can be designed to fit any motor vehicle.
