Description
Description
Woking as an Electrician I very often have to use various Step ladders or platforms and often I have tools etc falling off the platform damaging or breaking and even having items falling and injuring people. I devised a way to over come this problem by way of a secure and safe attachment combining a ladder or platform with a tool box by doing so I found that one can store and carry all manner of tools and screws nails etc easily with the addition of a way of cutting items ie wood, pipe conduct coving etc the tools can not fall out due to the over all design and construction which can be plastics or metals.
The tool box is strong and very durable, the scope for my invention is quite varied as it is aimed at the DIY and trade sectors of the market, for example the lid is constructed in such a way by having sections cut out as to place many and varied items used in working at height with out having to Continuously climbing up and down to collect bits of kit and materials where as you would have to do with all the other products on the market. There would be many different types and shapes once the injection moulding machines have been set up to produce the tool boxes it would be straight forward as there would be no welding involved there is only 4 bends to make the box itself and 4 for the lid so when mass produced they would be relatively cheep. The design of my invention is less complicated as most other tool boxes but my invention is a lot more user friendly and very practical you can even leave your tools and kit in the tool box and strap the whole tool box and ladder combined to the top of your van ready to go straight into your next job. They will not corrode or rust and my invention Would be water tight plus my tool box invention would appeal to people of all ages and dispositions. The dimensions vary depending on the many different ladders how ever the proto type dimensions are 250mm by 100mm by 200mm; the lid can be opened by lifting half the lid or from both ends it could also be opened by sliding forward or backwards the lid can be hinged in the middle by way of a piano hinge allowing the lid to be opened completely allowing access to the whole of the tool box.
Fixing of Lid to Tool Box A lid that opens by way of lifting and or sliding A lid that is hinged by a piano hinge that allows the lid to be opened from both ends A lid that can be opened by way of door hinges that allows the lid to be opened from side to side A lid that opens the lid as claimed in the above by way of pins and or rods
