Abstract

A pull along toy comprises a base 1 with wheels 2 and raised shapes 3 so that a matching lid may be placed over the shape. The projections may have textured surfaces (5 fig 2) and may have different colours. The base may also have a retractable pull string 4 and a sound generator attached to one of the wheels.

PULL - ALONG SHAPE SORTER
The invention relates to a pull - along toy that has different raised shapes on the top, each with its own chunky lid. The retractable cord enables the toy to be pulled along, and as the wheels go round a 'clicker' sound is heard.
The usual shape sorters that are available have different shaped pieces that are posted through the matching hole which can be difficult for the younger or less able child.
The objects of this invention are to provide the play value, for children of 1 + years, of co-ordination - colour matching and looking and feeling the different raised shapes each having a separate texture. Listening to the sound as the wheels 'clack' when fumed. Accordingly this invention can be pulled along when the child starts to walk unaided or pushed along the floor if the child is sat.
Preferably the invention is made of plastics material or wood or a combination of both materials. A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with references to the accompanying drawings in which: FIGURE 1 shows a side view of the whole toy.
FIGURE 2 is the top view showing the different shapes and textures.
As shown in Figure 1 the invention comprises of the base 1, with four chunky wheels 2, and six chunky lids 3, each one tiffing over raised shapes. The retractable pull cord 4, is situated at one end of the toy.
Figure 2 shows the different raised shapes 5, each having a different texture.
When the chunky lids 3 are lifted off the different raised shapes 5, the different textures are revealed. The chunky lids 3, should be made in different colours, with relating colours of texture to the different shapes 5.

Claims (8)

Al CLAIMS
1. A pull-along shape sorter toy that has a plurality of raised shapes and correspondingly shaped lids for locating onto the raised shapes.
2. A pull-along shape sorter toy as claimed in Claim 1 where the raised
shapes have a different colour to match that of the corresponding lid.
3. A pull-along shape sorter toy as claimed in Claims 1 and 2 where the raised shapes have different textures.
4. A pull-along shape sorter toy as claimed in Claim 3, including a retractable pull cord situated at one end.
5. A pull-along shape sorter toy as claimed in any preceding claim having four wheels enabling it to be pulled or pushed along.
6. A pull-along shape sorter toy as claimed in any preceding claim that has a clicker' attached to one of the four wheels.
7. A touch and match shape sorter toy as claimed in any preceding claim, which is made from plastics material or wood or a combination of both materials.
8. A touch and match shape sorter toy substantially as herin described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

Amended claims have been filed as follows CLAIMS
1. A touch and match shape sorter toy that has a plurality of raised shapes and correspondingly shaped lids for locating onto the raised shapes.
2. A touch and match shape sorter toy as claimed in Claim 1 where the raised shapes have a different colour to match that of the corresponding lid. 3. A touch and match shape sorter toy as claimed in Claims 1 and 2 where the raised shapes have different textures.
4. A touch and match shape sorter toy as claimed in Claim 3, including a retractable pull cord situated at one end.
5. A touch and match shape sorter toy as claimed in any preceding claim having four wheels enabling it to be pulled or pushed along.
6. A touch and match shape sorter toy as claimed in any preceding claim that has a rattle in one of the four wheels.
