Abstract
The tricycle comprises a main frame 1, a handle frame 2 securable to a shaft 11 at the front end of the main frame, and a rear frame 3 connected to the rear end of the main frame. The main frame has a bar section 14 extending rearward with an end notch 15, the bar section being insertable into a rear frame hollow sleeve 31 with a hole 32 at the front end, and a shaft 33 at the bottom end thereof mounting rear wheels 35, the notch locating on the shaft. A resilient V-shaped member 17 has an end 18 extendable through a hole 16 in the bar section 14, to engage the hole 32, to retain the frames 1, 3 together.
Description
TITLE: TRICYCLE STRUCTURE 239 523
Field of the Invention
This invention relates to a tricycle, and more particularly to facilitate installation and dismantle of the tricycle for storage in a compact place.
5 Background of the Invention
Most tricycles on the market comprise an integral main frame A, as shown in FIG. 6. The front end of the main frame A has a handle B and a front wheel C underneath the handle B. and a pair of rear wheels D are secured to the rear end of the main frame A. This design is in a large size, which is not easy to store and to 10 ship. Due to this inconvenience, the cost is relatively high.
In view of these and many other shortcomings, the inventor has derived the present invention with respect to the above reason.
Summary of the Invention
It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a tricycle structure, 15 which is easy to install and to dismantle.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a tricycle structure, which takes less space to store and to ship.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a tricycle structure, which is cost effectiveness.
20 Brief Description ofthe Drawings
FIG. 1 is an exploded view of the present invention; FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the present invention;
FIG. 3 is an enlarged sectional view of the structure of a handle frame connected to the main frame of the present invention, partially sectioned; FIG. 4 is an enlarged sectional view of the structure of a rear flame to be connected to the main flame ofthe present invention, partially sectioned; 5 FIG. 5 is an enlarged sectional view of the structure of a rear frame to be connected to the main feline of the present invention, partially sectioned, and FIG. 6 is a side view of a tricycle of a prior art.
Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiment
A tricycle structure comprises a main frame 1, a handle frame 2 and a rear frame 3.
The main frame 1 is a hollow body, the front end of the main frame 1 has a S connecting shad 11 with a hole 12 on top of it, at the center of the main frame 1 is coupled with a cushion 13, and the rear end is a bar section 14 having a notch 15 at the end. A hole 16 is formed on the bar section 14 above the notch 15, with a V-shaped clip 17 secured thereat. The clip 17 has a post 18 extending outward through the hole 16. The post 18 can retract into the hole 16 by the elasticity of 10 theclipl7.
The handle frame 2 connects to the connecting shaft 11 of the main frame 1, and is composed of a handle 21 with a connecting area 22 at the center portion.
The connecting area 22 has two bridges 23. Each bridge 23 has a hole 24 corresponding to each other. A fastener 25 composed of a bolt and a nut, is 15 adapted to the holes 24. A front wheel 26 is at the bottom portion of the handle Dame 2.
The rear frame 3 is connected to the rear end of the main frame 1 and has a hollow sleeve 31 with a hole 32 at the front end, a shaft 33 extending transversely from the bottom end of the rear frame 3, a basket 34 being secured on the shaft 33, 20 and a pair of rear wheels 35 being secured to the respective side of the shaft 33.
When shipping the product of the present invention, the handle frame 2 and the rear frame 3 are removed from the main frame 1. This makes the product compact and is easy to store as well as shipment for saving shipping cost.
To assemble the product, the connecting shaft 11 is inserted into the
connecting area 22 between the two bridges 23, with the hole 12 aligns with the holes 24, and fastened with the fastener 25, as shown in FIG. 3, whereas the handle is able to turn to different directions with respect to the main frame 1. The bar section 14 of the main frame 1 is inserted into the sleeve 31 of the rear frame 3, and s the posts 18 of the clip 17 are pressed by the inner wall of the sleeve 31 and retreated into the holes 16, as shown in FIG. 4. When the notch 15 of the bar reaches and engages with the shaft 33, the restoring force of the clip 17 urges the posts 18 extending into the hole 32, as shown in FIG. S. Thus, the main frame 1 and the rear frame 3 are secured together. When children riding on the tricycle, 10 the weight of the rider presses the bar section 14 of the main frame 1 downward deep into the sleeve 31, and this downward pressure shall be stopped by the shaft 33, that maintains a close connection of the tricycle in operation.
When not in use, the tricycle is best to dismantle for easy storage, by doing so, simply press the post 18 of the clip 17 Mom the hole 32 of the rear Fame 3, and the 15 bar section 14 of the main frame 1 may be withdraw from the sleeve 31, this disengages the main frame 1 and the rear frame 3, then release the fastener 25, which releases the connecting shaR 11 from the connecting area 22 of the handle frame 2. The tricycle of the present invention is in a compact size and easy to store and carry.
