Abstract

A door answering system uses MP3/Mpeg compressed recording format and allows use of different doorbell chimes and music and allows a caller to record a message. The system comprises a box 1 on the outside of a door 2, containing a speaker, a microphone, a doorbell button and control buttons; and a box 3 on the inside of the door 2, containing an Mpeg/MP3 player, an Mpeg/MP3 recorder, a detachable or non-detachable Mpeg/MP3 memory, a microphone, an audio output device, and buttons to replay and delete messages, to select and activate audio data, and to select a random setting. Audio data may be loaded using a detachable memory or downloaded directly from a computer.

Description

MP3/ MPEG D001;t BELL AND ANSWERING SYSTEM The MP3/ MPEG door bell and answering system is a luxury invention, it allows the user to choose and change the doorbells chime and or music at will, it also allows callers to the door to leave messages through the systerm MP3- A computer file containing a song or other audio data that is encoded.
MPEG- any of a set of standards established for the compression of digital video and audio data. A file of digital video and audio data that has been so compressed.
The system can use all types of audio data to be played through it. The system can record all types of audio input.
The door system can have multiple selections of play held on the memory device at the same time and the system can have settings to choose particular sounds or even a random setting. Another feature for the memory device is that when someone calls at the door and there is no answer, or they only wish to leave a message, they have the option of pressing a button and speaking into a microphone, leaving an audio message on the systerm The system can have a set time to leave a recording or the caller can press the record button a second time to stop recording.
The system needs a MPEG player and recorder, an MPEG memory device, a microphone, buttons on the outside to activate the audio bell tone and also to record a message, On the inside a buttons are needed to replay recorded messages and delete them. Buttons to choose which audio recordings to play when someone activates the door bells tone and or mus1c. A computer peripheral may be needed to upload the audio recordings into the MPEG memory device, which then could be attached to the system. To use the system fully at highest quality sound a personal computer would be needed but audio could be recorded directly into the system without a detachable memory device.
The drawings figures are hereby explained: Figure 1- outside box containing microphone, buttons to activate the bell tone or music and button to start/stop recording.
Figure 2- The Door.
Figure 3- inside box containing MPEG player, recorder and detachable or non-detachable memory device. Buttons to replay messages and delete them. Also buttons to change the settings of the bell tone and or music.
