Abstract

A power adaptor for a vehicle has two power outlets 2, 7 and a fuse housing 8 for a fuse to protect both outlets. The fuse (not shown) may be a spade fuse. Outlet 2 may have a cover 1. The adaptor may have a flat mounting surface 3 and a curved mounting surface 4 to facilitate mounting to a corresponding surface.

Description

ADAPTOR PLUG
This invention relates to using electrical D.C. powered telecomunications/leisure equipment from motorised vehicles/portable power.sources.
Not all motorised vehicles/portable power sources are fitted with an adaptor type plug to utilise D.C. electrical powered equipment.
This invention will be made with the intention that it will easily be fitted and used to supply D.C.
electrical power on all said vehicles/portable power sources to allow usage of said equipment.
This invention connected to a motorised vehicle/portable power sources D. C. power supply will afford two outlets - one with a restricted/controlled outlet.
Preferably this invention will be made from a suitable insulating material - with all electrical components contained within its own housing, with two suitable D.C. electrical outlets.
ADAPTOR PLUG
A preferred embodyment of this invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which Fig I shows a pictorial view of adaptor plug Fig 2 shows the electrical circuit As shown hi Fig 1, this adaptor plug of a pre moulded housing Fig 1 1 of a suitable insulating material with moulded faces Fig 1,3 4 to allow attachment to flat or curved surfaces, as will Fig 1 $,6 Fig 2 6 allow connection to recipient power source Fig 2 9 This will allow positive D.C.
electrical power to pass to the Else housing Fig 1 8 Fig 2,8 preferably spade type of a suitable rating - passing power to the female type socket Fig 1,2 Fig 2,2, giving access to D.C electrical equipment already available and fitted with the appropriate plug as in Fig 2 Fig 2,8 will also pass power to Fig 1 7 - a restricted controlled D C electrical outlet of a suitable size and shape to allow access to readily available equipment.

Claims (5)

Claims 3
1 This compact DC electrical power outlet, when connected to recipient vehicles DC power supply, will provide two fused power outlets.
2 This power outlet will have one of the two power outlets, as in Claim 1, have a restricted/controlled electrical DC output.
3 This power outlet, as in Claim 1' as in Claim 2, will preferably be made of a suitable pre moulded material that will include two pre-shaped mounting surfaces.
4 This power outlet, as in Claim 3, will include features that will make the power outlet weatherproof when not in use.
5 A power outlet, substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
