Abstract

A thee-dimensional, self-standing bag for kerbside recycling schemes has handles at its top and also 2 on its bottom, and strengthening means comprising reinforcement 4 around its mouth and heavyweight stitching 3 around the edge of its bottom and along a corner crease. It may be made of woven polypropylene.

There is an increasing requirenent to separate domestic refuse into categories to facilitate recycling.
Local authorities are considering ways of encouraging the segregation of recyclable refuse before it is upimed from domestic premises (Kerbside) Pilot schemes have involved the supply of rigid PVC boxes to the general public.
Problem Solved The PVC boxes can have disadvantages as follows; Cost Suffer impact damage Difficult to manually handle Take up space when empty.
We have invented a bag for the collection of recyclable materials from domestic and commercial premises.
Essential Features of the bag Self standing Economical Durable Fiffed with handles for lifting & tipping to avoid potential injury Compact when empty Will not retain water Introduction to Drawing
The attached drawing (& reference numbers) illustrates the basic design of the bag: Lifting handles (1) Tip handle (2) Method in which it is sewn to allow it to be self standing (3) Reinforced top edge (do Particular Example The bag is supplied to the householder and is easily stored until ready for use. The design ensures it is selI-standing for easy filling and has handles for transporting to the kerbside on the allocated day(s) of upim. The handles also facilitate easy lifting and tipping into the collection vehicle.

  1. Claims
    We claim grant of Patent for a re-useable and thee-dimensional bag specifically for collection of recyclable materials.
    The bag is designed for use in conjunction with kerbside collection schemes.
    The bag incorporates two lifting handles and one tipping handle.
    The bag is sewn by method on the attached drawing. That is to say a reinforced seam at the mouth plus a heavyweight seam around the base and down one side.
