Abstract

A protective rubber buffer strip that is produced from 100% recycled material includes pre-formed recessed areas for fixing means so that they do not form part of the protective area. There is also a reflective strip running along the centre of the buffer strip.

Scuff Stop This invention relates to a protective rubber buffer, which mounts on different surfaces to prevent scratching or damaging vehicles/boats or other movable appliances.
It is a well-known problem that car doorslbumpers are often scratched on garage/house walls while entering or exiting the vehicle. Also the mooring of boats against concrete or timber moorings can scratch or damage the hull of the boat.
An object of this invention is to provide a protective buffer strip that can be fixed in areas that may cause damage to your vehicle/boat, or other movable appliances.
Accordingly this invention provides a rubber buffer produced from 100% recycled materials that can be fixed in different locations to provide protection against damage to your vehicle/boat, or other movable appliances.
The Scuff Stop is made of 100% recycled material.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which : FIGURE 1 shows an overall view of the Scuff Stop.
FIGURE 2 is a cross section showing the profile of the Scuff Stop.

As shown in figure 1, the Scuff Stop comprises of a moulded rubber strip. Along the Scuff Stop there are recessed areas these are pre formed for the fixings so they are lower than the main protective area.
As shown in figure 2, the main protective areas of the Scuff Stop stand proud of the fixing areas to give protection in the chosen location.

  1. Claims 1. A Protective rubber strip produced from 100% recycled material.
  2. 2. A Protective rubber strip as claimed in claim 1 where there are recessed areas pre formed for the fixings so they are lower than the main protective area.
  3. 3. A protective rubber strip as claimed in claiml or 2 where there is a reflective white strip running through the centre.
