Abstract

Bars 1,2 which are triangular prisms in cross section and may be made of glass or plastics are applied to a window pane. It is stated that the resulting refracted light repels flies from the room.

Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 1> description The Magic Window This is a window which keeps flies out of a room in which it is fitted. It does so by refracting the light which passes through it. Flies are averse to refracted light and simply leave the room.
This is a clean, unobtrusive. permanent and effective way of getting rid of flies. The window refracts the light by incorporating glass or plastic triangular prisms, which refract the light, in its design and construction. The prisms are arranged along the edges of the glass, (3) in the drawing, as a border, and these prisms are referred to as (1) in the drawing.
They are also arranged vertically and horizontally across the glass in place of the traditional inner framing, and are referred to as (2). This use of prisms refracts the light coming through the window, causing the flies to leave the room.
The drawings show: 1. The bordering prisms 2. The inner prisms 3. Glass 4. Window frame

Claims (1)

  1. The Claims The Magic Window This window removes flies from, and keeps flies out of, a room. It does so by utilising flies aversion to refracted light by refracting the light which passes through it into the room. The light is refracted by the use of triangular prisms in the design and construction of the window. The window is passive in operation and harms nothing, not even the flies.
