Abstract

A device for exercising the muscles of the face comprises a pair of plastic arms H1, H2 connected at one of their respective ends within a housing B1. A metal spring S1 held within the housing acts on the arms and limits and maintains the separation of the distal ends of the arms when the device is not in use. The distal ends of the arms are shaped for greater comfort within the mouth. In use, the distal ends of the arms are inserted between the corners of the mouth. The user then squeezes the cheek muscles, closing the mouth against the resistance offered by the spring S1.

DESCRIPTION A plastic machine with a metal spring that exercises the facial muscles.
The machine is made from two plastic arms which are forced away from each other by a spring in the base. The base also holds two arms and allows the two arms to be moveable and limits the movement of them by the tension in the spring. The spring is of one force and the arms of this exercise machine have to be manually pushed together into the mouth. By releasing the two arms once in the mouth this movement will stretch the cheeks outwards and away from the face. By using your facial muscles you must squeeze the cheeks together pushing the arms of the exercise machine inwards.
The spring is mounted in the base unit which is a round casing made of two parts a top and a bottom with a central pin holding the spring in place. The two identical arms are mounted into the round base and the tension in the spring forces them away from each other.

Claims (8)

  1. CLAIMS 1. A facial exercise machine with two plastic arms and a base which houses a spring mechanism.
  2. 2. A machine as claimed in claim 1 includes two plastic arms mounted in the base and forceably kept apart by the metal spring.
  3. 3. A machine as claimed in the proceeding claims includes a metal spring held in place in the base unit with a central pin.
  4. 4. A machine as claimed in the procedding claims has a central base unit which holds the two plastic arms together allowing them to move in an inward and outward motion.
  5. 5. A machine as claimed in the proceeding claims includes a metal spring which allows the two plastic arms to open to a certain point this is due to the tension in the spring.
  6. 6. A machine as claimed in the proceeding claims includes two plastic arms which are shaped on the outside edges to allow comfort once the machine is in the mouth.
  7. 7. A machine as claimed in the proceeding claims is made from plastic and metal.
  8. 8. A facial exercise machine described here and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
