Abstract

A heated reflexology foot pad comprising a loose-fitting, boot-shaped fabric pad formed from five separate pieces. The pad is filled with whole wheat grains and dried herbs and can be heated in a microwave oven. The fabric is durable, non-flammable and quilted. Preferably the pad fits either foot. A lining representing one of the seven Chakra or rainbow colours may be included to provide colour therapy. The heat and aroma may promote relaxation.

Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Reflexology Foot Heat Pad This invention relates to a Reflexology Foot Head Pad. I will refer to this invention as abbreviated R. F. H. P.
This invention relates to a heat pad for use in Reflexology.
The R. F. H. P. completely covers foot and ankle and maintains heat during the treatment period.
According to the present invention there is provided a R. F. H. P. comprising a loose fitting fabric boot with a whole wheat grain filling and a mixture of various dried herbs.
At present this technique a trained Reflexologist uses a hand-sized towel to wrap the foot up in order to keep it warm during the treatment. The towels need to be laundered frequently.
The towel can become loose and fall away during treatment, causing heat loss.
A specified embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which :- Figure 1 shows in perspective the R. F. H. P. from a front view.
Figure 2 shows in perspective the R. F. H. P. from a side view.
Figure 3 shows in perspective the R. F. H. P. from a base view.
Figure 4 shows in perspective the R F. H. P. from a pattern point of view listing each part as marked A, B, C, D and E.
Figure 5 shows an example of leaflet added with purchase of invention.
Referring to the drawing the R. F. H. P. comprises of 5 main parts in the body to form a loose fitting boot that is ample in size to fit either foot. In order for instructions of use a small leaflet will be added with purpose to ensure safety of all persons in contact with the invention.
This would in itself adhere to certain laws like Health & Saftey, and Hygiene.
The Invention would be placed in a microwave for not more than the stated 4 minutes.
The said substance filling is designed specifically to add comfort and ease to the wearer. The said substance filling is durable and safe to use. The areas in which the substance is placed is designed to add contour and comfort to the user and efficiency to add heat in the appropriate areas where needed.
The design is simple in areas of fitting and usability.
The overall shape is simplistic and comfortable when in use The invention is fitted like a normal shoe, part B is placed in first then part C is placed over the top to cover. The tip end pfpart C is weighted so to prevent it slipping away. The amount of filling is not to pad out the invention but enough to act as insulation The R. F. H. P. should not be handled by a minor or for any purpose other than when the foot is rested and when the user is lying down or sat on a chair (hence the body weight is not put on the feet).

Claims (7)

  1. Claims 1 The invention R. F. H. P. is a simple but effective invention to aid in the service provided by a Reflexologist. The outer fabric material would be made of a non-flammable material and quilted to add density and shape to the design. The internal lining would be made of cotton. It would be filled with whole-wheat grains and a mixture of dried mixed herbs such as Lavender, Rosemary and Thyme To add uniqueness to this invention I would make the linings specific colours. These colours could alter in shade but primarily relate to the seven main"Charkra"colours These are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. This adds (ColourTherapy) to the treatment of Reflexology The invention R. F. H. P. is placed in a convention microwave oven for no more than 4 minutes.
It will then stay warm for around 30 minutes, giving a full Reflexology treatment.
    Comprising of parts listed A, B, C, D, and E the invention R. F. H. P. would be manufactured via a sewing machine.
    The R. F. H. P. forms a general shape of a loose fitting boot.
  2. 2 The invention R. F. H. P as claimed in claim 1 provides means of covering the foot and ankle with ample space. The RF. HP. is universal to both left and right foot. The invention R. F. H. P. is also is an effective and safe aid to the Reflexologist and wearer. The heat released by the R. F. H. P quickly releases heat and aromas and effectively relaxes the wearer
  3. 3 The invention R. F. H. P. as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 is that the material to be used in construction would be durable and non-flammable
  4. 4 The invention R. F. H. P. as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 or claim 3 is that the invention is different in the design of choice of colours linked to the seven Charka colours
  5. 5 The invention R. F. H. P. as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 or claim 3 or claim 4 is that the invention is designed to relax the wearer
  6. 6 The invention R. F. H. P. as proclaimed in the proceeding claims is designed for its effectiveness towards the treatment of Reflexology to both the client and the therapist.
  7. 7 The invention R. F. H. P. as claimed in claim I would be manufactured to specifications
in a factory using equipment relevant to the materials/fabrication used 8 The invention R. F. H. P. substantially described here in with references to figures 1-5 of the accompanying drawings.
