Abstract
A light emitting windmill includes a circuit board 3 fixedly received in a rotating member 2 thereof. A transparent front cover 4 is arranged in front of the rotating member 2. The circuit board 3 has a battery 31, several light emitting diodes 32, and an oscillating switch 33 fitted thereto such that the oscillating switch 33 can complete the circuit of the circuit board 3 for allowing the light emitting diodes 32 to emit light through the front cover 4 when the rotating member 2 is made to rotate by wind.
Description

LIGHT EMITTING WINDMILL BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a light emitting windmill, more particularly, a light emitting windmill, which can be fitted to children's vehicles such as bicycles and kickboards such that the windmill can rotate to emit light for allowing people to easily become aware of the children on the vehicles.
Conventional toy windmills for the use of children are made to have various shapes, especially on the blade parts, such that they can be more attractive, and pleasant to look at. It is found that to make consumers get very attracted by toy windmills, only change of the design is not enough at present days. And, such conventional toy windmills have no other functions except good-looking shape.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Therefore, it is a main object of the present invention to provide a light emitting toy windmill, mainly for the use of children, such that the fun of playing with windmills can be increased, and people can easily notice a child when the child is riding a bicycle or kickboard that is equipped with such windmill.

The light emitting windmill includes a supporting stick, a rotating member, a transparent front cover and a circuit board. The supporting stick has an upper folded portion. The rotating member has a receiving room and a central through hole. The front cover has an elongated connecting rod sticking out from the center thereof, and is arranged in front of the receiving room with the elongated rod being passed through the central hole of the rotating member and connected to the upper folded portion of the stick.
The circuit board has a battery, several light emitting diodes, and an oscillating switch fitted thereto. The circuit board is fixedly received in the receiving room of the rotating member. Thus, the oscillating switch can complete the circuit of the circuit board for allowing the light emitting diodes to emit light when the rotating member is made to rotate by wind.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The present invention will be better understood by reference to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective view of the light emitting windmill of the present invention.
Fig. 2 is a side view of the light emitting windmill of the present invention.
Fig. 3 is a circuit diagram cording to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Referring to Fig. 1, a light emitting windmill of the present invention includes a support stick 1, a rotating member 2, a circuit board 3 and front cover 4.
The support stick 1 has a folded portion at the upper end ; the folded portion has a connecting hole 11.
The rotating member 2 has several blade (not numbered), a receiving room 21, connecting pole 22, and a fixing pole 8 beside the connecting pole 22; the blades can be formed with various shapes as conventional windmills ; the connecting pole 22 sticks out from the center of the receiving room 21, and has a through hole lengthwise formed therein ; the fixing pole 22 has a screw hole (not numbered).
The circuit board 3 has a through hole 34 at the center, and is provided with a battery 31, an oscillating switch 33, and light emitting diodes 32, which can be secured in gaps of the circuit board 3 to save space; the battery 31, the oscillating 33, and the light emitting diodes 32 are connected such that when the oscillating switch 33 moves or rotates, the light emitting diodes 32 can emit light.
The front cover 4 is transparent, and has an elongated connecting rod 41 sticking out from the center thereof.
In combination, the circuit board 3 is received in the receiving room 21 of the rotating member 2 with the central through hole 34 being passed around the connecting pole 22; a screw (not numbered) is passed
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
through the circuit board 3 and screwed into the screw hole of the fixing pole 8 to fix that circuit board 3 in position. The front cover 4 is arranged in front of the opening of the receiving room 21 with the elongated connecting rod 41 being passed through the through hole of the connecting pole 22 and connected to the connecting hole 11 of the supporting stick 1. Thus, the rotating member 2 can be caused to rotate about the elongated rod 41 by wind.
In using the windmill, the same can be fixed to bicycles, kickboards and so on. The light emitting diodes 32 can flash when the bicycles, etc. move along to cause the rotating member 2 to rotate or shake, thus allowing the oscillating switch 33 to complete the circuit of the circuit board 3; the centrifugal force resulting from the rotation of the rotating member 2 will turn on the switch 33. In addition, the light emitting diodes 32 can be provided with various colors such as red, green to make people more aware of the light emitted therefrom.
From the above description, it can be easily seen that the light emitting windmill of the present invention has advantages as follows:
1. The windmill can make the riding of bicycles, skateboards and so on safer with the flash of various colors from the light emitting diodes making people easily become aware of the riders who are riding on the bicycles equipped with the windmill.
2. The light emitting diodes can flash to make the windmill more attractive when the windmill is moved.
